Sir Paul McCartney has opened up about his "painful" divorce from Heather Mills.
The Beatles legend - whose four-year marriage to Heather ended in separation in May 2006 - has turned to the words of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill to help him through his bitter court battle with his estranged wife.
He told Britain's Radio Times magazine: "Going through a divorce is a very painful thing. But as Winston Churchill once said, 'If you're going through hell, keep going!'
"But I think the only solution is to remain dignified. If I don't keep a silence about it, I lose this idea of being dignified."
The 65-year-old rocker also revealed he has found solace in his music during the emotionally draining time.
He said: "It's been a difficult time. Music is the therapy for me. In fact, going through difficulties has only concentrated my desire to make good music."
Meanwhile, Heather has been voted the World's Biggest Gold Digger in an online poll.
The 39-year-old charity campaigner beat the late Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith - who married 89-year-old oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall - to the number one spot in the survey of 2,000 people.
OnePoll spokesman John Sewell said: "In the hype surrounding Sir Paul's divorce, it comes as no surprise that Heather has been named the world's biggest gold digger. To walk away with so many millions after just four years of marriage is incredible."

Yes, old guys with money should think twice before getting mixed up with bimbos like her. I hope she isn't able to write the tell-all book - what a load of crap! She doesn't deserve all those millions for such a short marriage, and what did she do to contribute???
Prenup in the UK is not worth the paper it's written on. It's not a legal document, the judge would throw it out in court..

Sorry! Sorry....Oct 16th, 2007 - 15:12:58
but when very older men try to recapture their youth by dating gold diggers without a prenup what do you expect. She had him marked, she saw that coming show him sooo much love that she had him right in her palm. I will love you forever bull... but that's a grifter. Heather is not deserving of anything but that's what you get when you trap a greedy mouse. She should look after her child, she is the one deserving of anything not her.
