Julia Roberts' Cinema honor

Julia Roberts has won the prestigious American Cinematheque award.

The 'Ocean's Twelve' actress - who gave birth to her third child with cameraman husband Danny Moder in June - gushed she has "more than she could ever ask for" as she received the honour at Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton hotel on Friday night (12.10.07).

When Julia accepted the prize from her 'Pelican Brief' co-star Denzel Washington, she said: "More than anything I am just the most proud wife and mother to three of the most amazing children. And the widening of my life, and my hips, is really just the true gift of my husband Danny, who I would be so lonely without."

The 39-year-old star became the 22nd person to be presented with the award which is given annually to "extraordinary artists who have made a significant contribution to the world of motion pictures".

Julia claims she shot to fame at a more forgiving time in Hollywood.

She said: "I think I came along at a kinder time in the business. It wasn't about fashion, and there weren't so many media outlets, it was just kind of different. You could really cultivate your work a little more gently."

Tom Hanks, Bruce Willis and Natalie Portman were present to pay tribute to Julia, while her 'Ocean's Twelve' co-stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt recorded a comical video message.

George was shown sitting on a toilet before being kicked by someone occupying a neighbouring cubicle. He threw open the door to reveal Brad, who joked: "I have a wide stance."

Julia became a huge star after playing a prostitute opposite Richard Gere in 'Pretty Woman' in 1990, and won an Oscar for her performance in 'Erin Brockovich' 10 years later.

Julia and Danny have twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, who will be three next month, and four-month-old son Henry.
