Ben Affleck's life has returned to normal after fame made him "crazy".
The Oscar-winning actor - who made headlines worldwide with his drinking and gambling habits, and his high-profile relationships with actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez - admits he had a crazy time when he first made it in Hollywood.
He said: "Fame makes you crazy. It was like being in a car accident spinning around, out of control. Things moved very, very fast. I never even saw it coming. I was overwhelmed. It was a sudden, transformative shift in my life."
After putting his wild past behind him, Ben insists he has never been happier since marrying actress Jennifer Garner and becoming a father.
The 'Hollywoodland' star - who has a 22-month-old daughter, Violet, with Jennifer - added: "I'm healthier now than I've ever been. I see things more clearly. I feel pretty comfortable with myself, less ill-at-ease in the world."
