Naomi Campbell spends £350 on eyelash extensions every six weeks.
The supermodel spends four hours in a specialist London salon every six weeks to maintain her giant luscious lashes.
A source close to London-born Naomi told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "With eyelash extensions, she gets all the effects of mascara without the fuss of clogging make-up and, at night, she doesn't have to waste time removing every last trace of it."
Each synthetic eyelash extension is hand-cut and attached to the natural lash with cosmetic glue, lengthening it by a third.
Despite her eye extravagance, the 37-year-old model previously insisted she has never resorted to plastic surgery to maintain her looks.
She said: "I just take care of my body. I don't drink alcohol and I work out for two hours a day. I don't see myself as gorgeous and I'm fed up with people saying I've had plastic surgery and liposuction.
"I don't need it because black don't crack. My grandmother has fantastic genes and only has about one wrinkle."
Naomi is not the only star to take pride in her eyelashes.
Jennifer Lopez caused controversy when it was claimed she wore fake lashes made from mink fur.
Naomi's model friend Kate Moss made a stir when her Rimmel mascara TV advert was pulled because she was wearing fake eyelashes.

I doubt if there is any celebrity on TV or in films, who doesn't wear false eyelashes - even the ones who advertise mascara to make them look longer and fuller - we weren't born yesterday!
