Nicolas Cage was awoken by an intruder in his home who was wearing his clothes.
The Oscar-winning actor found Robert Furo Jr. wearing his jacket as he shuffled through his Newport Beach house shortly before 1.30am on Monday (01.10.07).
Cage reported the strange male to his community's gate guard, who called the police.
The 'Ghost Rider' star escorted Furo outside, where officers arrested him without incident a few moments later.
Police said there was no sign of forced entry and Furo didn't cause any trouble.
Cage's wife Alice Kim and their two-year-old son Kal-El were also asleep in the house at the time.
The 45-year-old man - who claimed to be a tailor - pleaded not guilty to a charge of felony burglary yesterday (02.10.07) and is currently still in jail.
Bail was set at $100,000 and Furo is due back in court for a pre-trial hearing October 10.

Can't you just see Nick Cage 'escorting' the intruder to the door? Asking for his jacket back before the intruder steps out to be arrested?
What class!
