Jamie Foxx dating deterrent
Oct 3, 2007, 7:00 GMT
Jamie Foxx hopes his latest role as an FBI agent will scare boys away from his daughter.
The 39-year-old actor hopes playing gun-wielding cop Ronald Fleury in 'The Kingdom' will terrify any young men who hope to date his 12-year-old daughter Corinne.
Foxx told Britain's Independent newspaper: "Right now she thinks all guys are nerds. So my concern is that the first guy who comes on all cool might get her.
"Maybe after they see me in 'The Kingdom' the boys will be scared of her dad. I hope so."
In the action thriller Fleury organises an undercover trip to Saudi Arabia to track down terrorists who killed his friend in a bomb attack.
The 'Miami Vice' star was awarded a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last month, and took Corinne with him to the unveiling ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.
Foxx has previously spoken of the strong bond he shares with his daughter.
He said: "If you want to make a great relationship with your kids you can. I wouldn't trade anything at all for the relationship I have with my daughter."
