Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been buying rock-and-roll t-shirts for their new baby.
'The Simple Life' star and the Good Charlotte frontman visited Seattle's Bootyland last week to purchase baby clothes with pictures of David Bowie, The Ramones and Che Guevara printed on them.
Joel reportedly told staff: "It's a boy."
The rocker also bought Nicole - who is almost six months pregnant - a jar of chamomile butter nipple balm for nursing mothers.
A fellow shopper told the National Enquirer: "He looked genuinely over the moon. He's a bit nervous about being a dad, but ecstatic that it's a boy."
Joel recently revealed he couldn't wait to find out what sex the baby was.
He said: "We are waiting to find out if it is a boy or a girl. We don't even know. So right now it's an 'it', which sounds wrong. We call it 'the baby'. When we talk to it, it's 'you'.
"I'm excited. It's the best thing that has ever happened to us. It's awesome.
"The baby has started kicking and I've already gone out and bought a stroller and a playpen for the nursery."
Joel, 28, and Nicole, 26, have been together since last December, and announced they were expecting their first child in July.
