Jay-Z had met up with music moguls Quincy Jones, Russell Simmons and L.A. Reid at New York's Wakiya restaurant, before he was joined at exclusive club Marquee by girlfriend Beyoncé.
And after taking his place in the DJ box to play his new single 'Blue Magic' - taken from his upcoming album 'American Gangster' - the pair danced together and sang along to each other's songs.
One clubber said: "They were so cute at the club. They were dancing close together and singing each other's songs the whole night."
Jay-Z - who was recently named the second highest earning musician worldwide by Forbes magazine - also revealed he is planning to launch his own sports arena in New Jersey.
The arena, which is currently owned by Continental Airlines and is situated in Meadowlands, will be renamed the Rocawear Arena (after Jay-Z's clothing line) if the rapper is successful in his bid.
A spokesman for The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, who control the naming rights of the Arena, said: "We're looking forward to presentations by bidders next week, and then we'll get into the process of evaluation.
"I'm optimistic that we will be able to over-achieve the current financial deal that we had with Continental."
The eventual sponsor of the Arena will be paying $600,000 per year for the honour.
