Paris Hilton is planning to donate stacks of her own clothes and shoes to children's charities, because she has more than she can ever wear.
The socialite claims she never wears anything twice and has closets overflowing with as-good-as-new garments, according to the SFGate.com Daily Dish.
Hilton reveals, "I have, like, a million clothes and more than 500 pairs of shoes, so I'm going to give a bunch of them to orphanages and children's hospitals. I never wear something twice."
Hollywood reporter Janet Charlton jumped on the story, saying Paris Hilton "got our imaginations running wild when she remarked that she was planning to donate her clothing and shoes to 'orphanages and children's hospitals.' "
"First of all, when is the last time you heard anyone refer to 'orphanages?' Aren't they called "group homes for children" - or something like that now? And just what will these children DO with Diane Von Furstenberg and Missoni dresses and size eleven pumps?
Paris, we suggest you set up a store on eBay and donate the proceeds to a charity for kids."

So what if she referred to them as 'orphanages.' Lighten up! Not everyone is a member of the cult of the politically correct. A lot of us call things what they are, not what pleases a certain minority.
I say good move for Ms. Hilton. It appears that some think that because she is a rich young socialite, that she's incapable of ever doing anything good.

Give her a break. Some companies specialize in holding these and marketing them at the right time. Vintage designer lines hold value. Giving to others is good, especially when proceeds (not necessarily merchandise) go to charity. Her heart is in the right place. She deserves a break on this.
