Jude Law narrowly escaped being bombed when he was in Afghanistan.
The 'Alfie' actor - who visited the war-torn country's capital, Kabul, to make a documentary for the Peace One Day campaign - was forced to flee the city following a bomb scare during filming.
Jude said: "We were shooting in the main square in Kabul. The security guys suddenly said, 'You have to go now. Like now!' And they grabbed us and shoved us in the car.
"But I never felt really scared. It's amazing how quickly you adapt, that's what the Afghan people do. You get there and they are going to school and to market and trying to hold down jobs. And the fact that they could be blown to smithereens or every building has bullet holes in it, that's by the by. The world seems uneven."
Peace One Day was founded by British actor-turned-filmmaker Jeremy Gilley in 1999 in a bid to achieve an annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence.
The UN member states have established September 21 as Peace Day.
