Jamelia slams Leona Lewis

Jamelia says Leona Lewis is a "poor man's Mariah Carey".
The 'Superstar' singer claims last year's 'X Factor' winner doesn't have what it takes to become a star - despite receiving huge backing from music mogul Simon Cowell.
She said: "When Simon stops all this stupid hype about her, that's when we'll see if she can deliver. Like every artist Simon has, she'll fade into obscurity eventually. Only Will Young has been successful because he's talented and cut ties with Simon. Good luck to Leona.
"She's a poor man's Mariah Carey. Simon's apparently going to have Kylie and J.Lo performing on 'The X Factor', and he'll showcase Leona to make out she's one of them. Please! Simon's lost it. He's disrespectful. Leona may be talented, but she's not worked as hard as me or others in the industry. Fact!"
Jamelia, who is yet to confirm if she has reunited with ex-lover Darren Byfield, has no time for people who try to become famous for no good reason.
The mother-of-two, who slammed WAG Alex Curran for living off husband Liverpool soccer ace Steven Gerrard's cash last year, refused to apologise for her comments, saying: "I won't take that back. She may be earning her own money now, but it's because of who her husband is. No one would have heard of her if it wasn't for him, and if she believes otherwise she's deluded. I laughed at her response to my comments. All she did was slate Darren and say no one's heard of him as he's a no-mark footballer - well she's a no-mark WAG! I've achieved my career off my own back, she wasn't able to argue down that key point."

i say jamelia should put her money where her mouth is and release her next single head to head with leona's...better still maybe lets hear her have a sing-off of leona so that everyone can see who is the star and who is the wannabe. Leona Lewis is probably the most talented singer to come out of the UK in yonks and put the likes of Jamelia to shame...

Jamelia is simply a jealous hater who needs to take cheap shots to raise her profile. Honestly... who the hell is Jamelia... what has she ever done worthy of note? Nothing... she's a minor C class celeb (apparently) who can only boost her own ego by belittling others. She should keep her fat skank mouth closed, and focus on her own career (If she has one that is....)
I think it's a real shame if its true imo, Jamelia may have been doin this longer than Leona but no doubt with a voice like her's she's goin places. Me n my bffs think Jamelia mite hav a case of the ole green eyed monster syndrome.

if jamelia has said what is alleged, she is definately jealous. how can she say leona hasnt worked hard. up until the x factor, she entered loads of competitions, arranged a showcase on the bbc and tried to release an album, to say what shes said is absolutely ignorant. besides if ur more talented u dont have to work as hard, thats a fact in all walks of life. jamelia herself is disappering into oblivion, her last ablum did really bad. her only comparable sucess was 'superstar' which is nothing compared to' a moment like this' on like for like sales.

Jamelia has a habit of running her mouth about other celebrities, I once heard her on the radio talking about Kylie. I think she should keep her mouth shut and focus on her own carer. Leona is a star and its been a long time that we have had someone with such amazing talent hit our airwaves. Even if she is a poor mans Mariah Carey......it's still alot better than Jamelia!!!

..there is actually a lot of false pretense and hype put into the people who go on x factor...and people need to go down to some real live music nights and hear some real singers...who are also artists...and not just puppets.......

Leona Lewis is not a poor man's anything. But clearly you are very jealous of her, but that is understandable being as talented as
Leona is. She doesn't need hype. Her single is already positioning
itself to be a worldwide #1 smash.
