Boycot Bowie, he was never been for his own kind of people anyway. The case of all the black men that dragged that white

I don't care what excuses those kids use, you NEVER blame the victim of a crime. That white kid didn't deserve to get beaten like that, especially once he was down. Putting nooses in a tree is just a stupid juvenile act, it was nothing but a teenage territorial dispute. But these 6 hoodlums used it as an excuse to commit a premedidated and vicious attack on a single, helpless individual. They need to do time for what they did. And yes, I'll boycott Bowie with you. Nobody has the right to do what those kids did, and then use their skin color as a way to get away with it. (that includes whites beating blacks as well) It goes both ways, and in this case, the blacks committed the hate crime.
I'd like to add my comments on a sad situation in Jena. Since when does a vicious beating perpetrated by 6 individuals (no matter the color) on an innocent victim suddenly become ok? Dave Bowie, as others of his ilk, have no idea what when on and won't bother to find out. I have a questions for Mr. Bowie though. What if this was your child--beaten so viciously that he was nearly in a coma--what would you say if the six culprits were seen as the victims instead and people donated to their cause because 'heck it's the poor kids vs the rich kids of David Bowie'.
Class warfare instead of race warfare. It's high time all of us stepped back, took a breather and really thought about what we do and the causes we support. Perhaps then we would really get a handle on all of the injustices in this country. Shame on you Mr. Bowie, I thought you were smarter and fairer than that.

Coma? The kid got out of the hospital the same day and attended a party that night. Kids have a way of pointing out when we are headed in the wrong direction. These kids--all of them, from the noose-hangers to the beaters of the black young man by a group of white kids weeks ago and now the beating of this white kid by 6 black kids are all trying to tell us something important about what they can or can't live with. As adults, we must listen and guide them with wisdom. Thank you for defending these kids, David, and thank you to the people who truly feel sad abou this situation and are taking to the streets in an effort to make this right for all our kids. BTW, some of us still remember vividly what black men and boys looked like hanging from those trees. And few gave a hoot--unless it was to holler a curseword at the dying and the crying family members in the crowd. By contrast, few whites have suffered at the hands of African Americans. Most black people are too busy working to attack us. Instead of re-enacting nightmares, help make the world a better place--where all of us can live. That tree was palnted by a black woman and taken by whites--just like so much else we've taken. Enough is enough. Listen to all these kids. They are all in need of our wisdom.
These whole events have been so unfairly taken out of proportion. One boy was beaten by 6 others others. SIX on ONE. But all this is justified by one or two nooses hung on a simple tree as a mere prank that the (keyword here) victim, had nothing to do with. Suddenly its A-OK for this boy to beaten down by 6 others because of they cry that they are victims of racism. This is the saddest case of reverse racism I have ever heard of. Now these six are getting a free ride because of mis-informed celebrities such as the brilliant but definately questionable here, David Bowie. Color should be taken out of the equation here. This is completely unacceptable. The media is to blame for escalating and misreporting this whole event. If the situation was reversed and the victim was black and the attackers were white, the black parents would be crying bloody murder and no one would step in and offer money to help defend the white actackers. That is as should be and it should go both ways. Last I checked, hanging nooses and having opinions is not illegal. Freedom of speech, regardless if it is misconstrued as racial. That does not justify SIX on ONE for crying out loud and assault is definately not legal. These six youth should get what they deserve just as they would if they were white in the same situation. Race card revoked. And I say this with no bitterness, hatred or racism towards blacks or any other race. Justice is justice no matter what colour.
