I'm black, and I'm very disappointed at the Jena 6 for what they did. They brought us all down a notch right when we were getting ahead, and they need to do their time.
And Jesse? He's just as bad. I admire Obama and find him charming, intelligent, and an excellent candidate for president. His intelligence is probably what keeps him from getting involved in Jena. Those boys did wrong, and should be punished, so he's not getting involved. Too many 'whitey's out to get me' blacks, would turn on him.
Why is it that our race can commit crimes, cry the word racist, and then get the charges dropped? No wonder so many people are afraid when they see a group of black men. It's not so bad being a woman, but I see the way the guys get treated, I see the fear. Actions like the Jena 6 only help to perpetuate this fear. It's time for it to stop.
I am a black woman and I am sick of all the 'acting black' & 'acting white' nonsense. A few years ago, a black man angrily approached me and told me that I was acting white. My crime was working for a big corporation and wearing a business suit. So a corporation can't hire a black woman, pay her well, & give her great benefits without her being persecuted by an angry brother and accused of not acting black? What was I supposed to do, turn down a kick ass job? Why do we always have to be polarized?
Jesse Jackson and Britney Spears have more in common than they are aware. Both were great, once. Both now have lost all credibility and the only thing we can do, other than shudder, whenever they are thrust into the spotlight is shake our heads and say 'how sad.'
All this Jesse talk is irrelevant. If any of the allegations are true, these young men were stepped on, and we need to make sure this gets addressed. I lived in the 1960's and a lot of hard work was done to make real progress. Now, some prosector get ahead, just like Duke, and we need to scrutinize this carefully.

I was watching the comments I was going to stay out of it.
I grew up in the 1970's My family and me lived in Roosevelt N.Y.
For most of the second grade( 1972 ) I walked to school. I got a beating to and from school everyday. Black kids. My hands were stomped on and broken, my back had alot of damage from being kicked many times while I was down. Let me tell you the one thing I have learned about racial tensions. Black people will not let it go. There is always going to be a problem in the U.S. because of the SLAVERY issue. This is what they must let go of. The jewish people seem to be coming along just fine.
Remember the HOLOCAUST? How many people died then? How many years ago was that. They found a home and were welcomed in the states. Now Jews run just about everything from Hollywood to law firms you name it. There
are many black folks who have come far. Oprah for one. Everyone has the same chances in AMERICA. But race war still rages on. It is a silent war
but it is there.
The good Reverand is the Secretary of war. When is this all going to end?...Never. As long as Black people never give in and fight on and on and on. We are always going to have tension. White people compound the problem it's true but they are always on the defensive end and wind up saying things the blacks do not like.
Like me a 2nd grader walking home from school in 1972, with my bloody face and broken hands hardly able to stand because of the trauma to my back white people will always be on the defense. What we really need in this world are more politicians who went through what I did growing up. I would have a ZERO tolerance for this B--- SH-- !!!
This is what I call 'irresponsible,divisive and Idiotic' remark. It's insulting to both Senator Barack Obama and the white people in general. First of all the Senator cares about black people and he never 'acts' like anything. He is the most genuine person I have ever come across. And does that 'acting white' mean that white people never care...?
I think this emanated from jealousy and envy that he never got this kind of attention and support when he (jackson) run for office. Yes that's it!

Let us not compound the problem people. One day there will be a country where we CAN all live in peace. It's going to take a LOOOONG time though.
These 6 kids should certainly do some kind of time. But it's going to take a black politician or a black judge who will not be swayed by the racial B.S. and stand up for real justice and put these kids behind bars.
I guess gang beatings are allowable by Jesse. But I bet Judge Joe Brown would lay the smackdown on these punk kids!

jesse, sharpton, farrakhan are intimidated by barack obama's freshness and ability to galvanize people across socioeconomic lines. the act of questioning obama's degree of 'blackness'(or authenticity) is nothing more than plain old jealousy in the face of failed victimhood politics. jesse and his ilk have made lifelong careers pimping the misery of the black underclass while offering no plan of reform w/emphasis on personal accountability-- which is something our community needs more than ever.
Someone has to go on O'reilly and call them out on it. It has to be other people like them though.
If the case were reversed, 6 white kids beating 1 black kid, they'd be charged with hate crimes. It is what it is. Because you have the likes of Sharpton and Jackson opening their mouths, not to mention the 'star power band wagon', everybody takes a step back. Again...disgusted.
It is a race war. Jesse has proven that with his comment. We are all equal here in the USA. Everybody has the same options. Go to school
get a diploma go to college get a degree start a life earn money.

Ralph Nader was right calling Obama a 'Uncle Tom'. Because he is. He does what the rich whites wants him to. He will sell out his relatives, your mama, your sister, grandmother, and anyone else that gets in their way. He is not for change. He is just part of that corrupt Chicago political machine. The Obama's take money they donot deserve. Look at his wife. No matter how educated you are, this does not mean you are qualified. The wife is corrupt, a liar, and an open racist. Obama is closed door racist. They are going to teach those children to do the same. These people are a danger to the American people. White Americans stop endoring any and everybody.
