Obama 'acting like he's white'.
I find that remake offensive and insulting. I demand an immediate public apology from Jackson, and that he refrain from making any further public appearances until he has completed a racial sensitivity course. A man in his 'position' should have better sense than to utter racially degrading remarks. Maybe a class action lawsuit will show Jackson that lumping all whites in the same category is not such a good idea.

You see, the old prejudices are, for all practical purposes, gone. This means Jesse and the rest of the grievence driven black leaders are almost out of a very lucerative job.
Since Obama is, half white(?), and doesn't seem to buy into the grievence machine, he represents a threat. What Jesse wants is to pull support to Hillary. She will buy into all the visits to the slave colonies, even while there is real slavery in other parts of Africa, and assuage jesse and his followers. She will make more embarrassing visits to the south, like the lst one, in hopes of pulling them her way. Either that, o Obama will roll over, somewhere before election day.

What is 'acting white'? I think Jesse needs to pull his head out of his dark ages ass and realize that in order for the racial violence to end, the profiling needs to end as well. It's so primitive to think that if you don't wear baggy pants, speak in ebonics, and have a rap sheet, that you're not actually black! I've met plenty of white guys that fit that bill. Grow up Jesse.
...if any of the above is true, the feds and the state of Louisiana have some real work to do here. Jesse jackson is the worst kind of political entity but that may not, necessarily, make him wrong here.
The feds have a way to bring accountability here and if they do not, and I suspect they will not, they'd better be prepared for a real mess. Given that the trials are over, we have the benefit of the transcripts and can look for any real assault on these young men's rights.
I don't believe most Americans understand what Jesse is trying to get a cross with the statement 'acting white.' Yes, to most it would sound foolish to say that in regards to Obama. However, Obama has not taken a public stance against the treament of these 6 young men. I wouldn't hesitate to say that he is acting white in this instance. This is a issue that most blacks hold close to their hearts and he is vacant on the topic. The majority of whites look to find reason to imprison these young men rather than find a solution to illness that caused them to have to react the same prejudice their grandparents faced!
Interesting concept: This is going on in one of the most liberal states in the nation. Where's the outrage?

Consider Bush: How many posts has someone insinuated he either was responsible for death penalty executions in Texas, but, magically, no one is holding the actions of Gov. Blanco responsible for the Louisiana court system and it's actions.
This will be interesting to see just how much talk this Governor really is. After all, we got a belly full a while back.
I think a big factor that everyone is missing here is that if the situation were reversed and it was 6 white students that beat up 3 black students they would be calling this a hate crime and every media outlet in America would demonize them to the point of provoking riots. No matter what we do, no matter how hard we try, racism will always be around because it makes for sensational news and we just can't get enough of the 24 x 7 onslaught. It would take something monumental or catastrophic to stop people from thinking about the color of someone's skin. Human beings have an inherent need to classify that which they see and experience, and that is something that we cannot change just by saying 'I have lot's of (Insert minority/sexual pref/etc.. here)friends...'

The comments Jesse Jackson made about Barak Oboma can olny be understood from the perspective of the Afro-American and maybe a few clued in and culturally familiar Euro descended Americans. Because white Americans don't see themselves as separate ethnicities anymore, just ' White' which by the way embodies anything and all things that are not black, brown or otherwise considered 'colored' as inferior or beneath them they collectively are what is called aversively racist against most melanized people. Even their own relatives that can tan are called into question as it pertains to their heritage of being white. Many a white man and woman have slept with slaves and free blacks alike throughout the centuries. Many blacks have passed for white, interchanging genes and the way their children would look, being lighter or darker, yellow (tan) or brown, human sex is going to happen to produce its kind. No where did this occur more than in antebellum times where the men, women and children were propery owned, to have done to them whatever the master, mistress or their children wanted to have done. The mass majority of white people can not or just plain will not see anything life worthy in the African descended American or his forefathers who were violently captured by force, sold because of greed, killed because of hatred then and now; the women raped, tortured and also killed from hatred and sheer bloodthirstyness from lust filled early Dutchmen, Spaniards, Englishmen and Frenchmen all for profit and capital gain. This history excerpt is missed when men like Jesse speaks. If one listens this is what he is trying to get whites to overstand but they just won't listen. All they hear and see is an agrieved 'black man'. White men revolted when the English tried to oppress them with their laws and taxes. They killed them - With the gun - And put it in the constitution to have the right to bear arms if just such an emergency arose, not the black man though because he might revolt against us with that right being given to him to bear arms and protect his family, land and person against those whites that would take it from him. Obama has to play middle of the road or so he thinks. He really should speak more vehemently about the case but he's not those boys down there or their fathers just because he's black, he has to be them by experience and more spiritThe Jena case is an outrage. Another seismic disturbance along an already volatile national and global racial faultline that has no been put on any leader's schedule for repair anytime soon.
I am so outraged that this incident is becoming a world wide media event. Why is it that when white individuals are the aggressors that the media takes notice as well as the reversed. This year in Knoxville, TN there where were 2 white people, a young man and his girlfried, that were brutely murdered by 5 black males and one black female. The 2 individuals killed were raped, burned, sexually assulted and other things were done to them that are too horrific to mention. Why aren't they in the news and where is Jesse Jackson? I guess no one noticed it because the people killed are white and the killers are black. God forbid that that gets out. I am so tired of these political figures, actors, etc. jumping on the band wagon to gain attention not to the event at hand but to fuel their own agendas. Jesse Jackson needs to take a good look at himself and if he thinks he is such a Christian he needs to look again. This all makes me sick! If people were punished for their crimes and had the backbone to take their punishment then we would have fewer problems. As it is now everyone is out to blame someone else for what THEY have done and no one is taking responsibility for their actions. What does Jesse Jackson think he can do. Too funny. Not long ago, Jesse Jackson. Al Sharpton and the rest of their ilk were busy convicting the Duke Lacrosse players through the media and court of public opinion before any of it went to trial.
I suppose that anyone who did not join them in their media lynching were also said to have been acting 'too white'.
So what does it mean then when a self serving black activist like Jackson jumps to the wrong conclusions based on his own bias and prejudices, and then turns out to be wrong? As he was regarding the Duke players?

I'm black, and I'm very disappointed at the Jena 6 for what they did. They brought us all down a notch right when we were getting ahead, and they need to do their time.
And Jesse? He's just as bad. I admire Obama and find him charming, intelligent, and an excellent candidate for president. His intelligence is probably what keeps him from getting involved in Jena. Those boys did wrong, and should be punished, so he's not getting involved. Too many 'whitey's out to get me' blacks, would turn on him.
Why is it that our race can commit crimes, cry the word racist, and then get the charges dropped? No wonder so many people are afraid when they see a group of black men. It's not so bad being a woman, but I see the way the guys get treated, I see the fear. Actions like the Jena 6 only help to perpetuate this fear. It's time for it to stop.
I am a black woman and I am sick of all the 'acting black' & 'acting white' nonsense. A few years ago, a black man angrily approached me and told me that I was acting white. My crime was working for a big corporation and wearing a business suit. So a corporation can't hire a black woman, pay her well, & give her great benefits without her being persecuted by an angry brother and accused of not acting black? What was I supposed to do, turn down a kick ass job? Why do we always have to be polarized?
Jesse Jackson and Britney Spears have more in common than they are aware. Both were great, once. Both now have lost all credibility and the only thing we can do, other than shudder, whenever they are thrust into the spotlight is shake our heads and say 'how sad.'
All this Jesse talk is irrelevant. If any of the allegations are true, these young men were stepped on, and we need to make sure this gets addressed. I lived in the 1960's and a lot of hard work was done to make real progress. Now, some prosector get ahead, just like Duke, and we need to scrutinize this carefully.

I grew up in the 1970's My family and me lived in Roosevelt N.Y.
For most of the second grade( 1972 ) I walked to school. I got a beating to and from school everyday. Black kids. My hands were stomped on and broken, my back had alot of damage from being kicked many times while I was down. Let me tell you the one thing I have learned about racial tensions. Black people will not let it go. There is always going to be a problem in the U.S. because of the SLAVERY issue. This is what they must let go of. The jewish people seem to be coming along just fine.
Remember the HOLOCAUST? How many people died then? How many years ago was that. They found a home and were welcomed in the states. Now Jews run just about everything from Hollywood to law firms you name it. There

Ralph Nader was right calling Obama a 'Uncle Tom'. Because he is. He does what the rich whites wants him to. He will sell out his relatives, your mama, your sister, grandmother, and anyone else that gets in their way. He is not for change. He is just part of that corrupt Chicago political machine.
