Demi Moore's out of touch

Demi Moore thinks she is too good-looking to get film roles.

The 44-year-old actress claims Hollywood doesn't know what to do with her because she is too old to play the female lead, but looks too young and attractive to play motherly characters.

Demi said in an interview with Red magazine: "It's been a challenging few years, being the age I am, with so much focus now on how I look. Almost to the point where I felt like, well, they don't know what to do with me. I'm not 20. Not 30.

"But I'm certainly different from what most people feel someone in her 40s should be. For many female actors, who turn 40, it means the end of their career, it's time to retire. There aren't that many good roles for women over 40. A lot of them don't have much substance, other than being someone's mother or wife. If we are told we are not valuable once we hit 30, it is a problem. We all have more to give. We just can't bend over and wait for something to happen."

The 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle' star also revealed her ex-husband Bruce Willis, the father of her three daughters, is still very involved with her family.

Demi - who is now married to 29-year-old actor Ashton Kutcher - said: "Bruce is a wonderful father. He's present and he's involved. It is in a very different form than the traditional dad, but I feel that my children have a father who is present, so they don't need someone to replace him. We spend our holidays together and, if Bruce wants to stop by and have dinner, he can just call and come by. I don't think it is unique, I think it is something we can all do, when we place our children as the priority."
