James Blunt says he deserves a "kicking".
The 'You're Beautiful' singer accepts certain people don't like him and understands why someone might want to beat him up.
He told GQ magazine: "I probably deserve a bit of a kicking. And having been to boarding school I've learnt to enjoy a good beating."
Blunt says he tries to ignore all the negative comments made about him.
The star - who was once voted more irritating than traffic wardens in a newspaper poll - said: "I don't take the comments seriously. I've got the best job in the world. I've spent the past two-and-a-half years touring with a band and it's been brilliant. Touring is the best invention of all time, so if I have to suffer a little bit of payback for having all this fun, then so be it."
The 'Goodbye My Lover' singer also admits he has become more attractive to the opposite sex since finding fame.
Blunt - who has been linked to Petra Nemcova and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson - said: "Suddenly, I'm much better looking and taller!
"After a couple of drinks, women used to find me vaguely amusing. I wasn't desperately struggling. But then I joined the army, got a nice uniform and bought a motorbike. And when none of that really worked, I became a famous musician to see if that did the trick!"

I find the comments made on James Blund really unfair. Ok, everybody has its own taste in music and there might be someone who loves his songs, and someone who doesn't. But that is too much. Some people take things too seriously. Don't like his music? Then, don't listen to it. But please, don't make those comments. There are 12 million people who bought his CDs and there are even more who love his music, so insulting him would be like insulting all of us.
Regarding to James, his words and comment about this shows even better his character and is another reason to love him.
