EPA/PAUL BUCKAttorney Alan Jackson used footage from the late Lana Clarkson's showreel as part of his dramatic speech to convince the jury the 67-year-old music producer is guilty of shooting the actress dead at his Los Angeles mansion on February 3, 2003.The prosecutor also showed clips of five female witnesses speaking about their personal experiences of Spector's threatening gun-wielding behaviour, and a chauffeur's testimony that he saw the accused exiting his mansion with a gun in his hand declaring "I think I killed somebody".Jackson also asked the jury to imagine themselves in the parking lot of The House of Blues club as 40-year-old Clarkson and Spector left together for his home.He said: "You listen as Spector invites her back to the castle, and she constantly says, 'no, no thank you. I've got to work tomorrow.' You listen as he continues to try and lure her back to the castle. "If you could say one thing to Lana Clarkson, just one thing - even two little words, even if you had to whisper - what would you say? "Now that you know the real Phil Spector, who he is, what he does, even if you had to whisper, you'd lean over and whisper 'Don't go'. "You simply say, 'Lana don't go.' And the reason you would say that is you know something she didn't know. You know the real Phil Spector. You know in your heart of hearts he's responsible for her death. He killed her."Jackson told the jury Spector took "his gun, loaded with his bullets" and shot Clarkson in the mouth, then wiped his victim's face with a cloth he had dipped in the toilet.He sneered: "It's disgusting, barbaric, monstrous. As if she hadn't suffered indignity enough - with toilet water."Spector's defence claim Clarkson shot herself.However, Jackson insists she had career plans and wanted to see them through.Spector, who arrived 20 minutes late for the hearing, appeared to show little emotion during proceedings, occasionally starring straight at Donna Clarkson, who sobbed as she watched her dead daughter brought to life on screen.The defence's closing argument is to be delivered today (06.09.07) by Spector's attorney Linda Kenney-Baden.(C) BANG Media International
