Owen Wilson's family have reportedly banned his ex-lover Kate Hudson from visiting him.

Kate, who split from the 'Wedding Crashers' star in June, is desperately trying to contact Owen following his failed suicide bid - but his family don't think Kate is "good" for the actor.

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Kate has been trying to get in touch with Owen and is distraught that the family don't want her anywhere near him. She is very frustrated.

"Owen's family don't think Kate is good for him."

Owen - who allegedly attempted to end his own life after seeing pictures of Kate with new lover Dax Shepherd - began dating the actress after they met on the set of hit comedy 'You, Me and Dupree'.

However, the relationship ended following heated rows over Owen's wild behaviour.

Kate, 28, was told of Owen's suicide attempt while filming her latest movie in Boston, and was left devastated by the news.

An on set source said: "She looked upset and was pacing back and forth while on the phone.

"Then her handlers came out and covered her with an umbrella, she was ushered into a white vehicle and then took off."

The 'Wedding Crashers' actor is currently recovering at his Santa Monica home after being released from hospital on Saturday (01.09.07).

He is being watched around the clock to ensure he doesn't try to kill himself again.

Kate Hudson has always striken me as a spoiled, snobby, careless woman. I have seen her be rude to several talk show hosts such as Rosie o Donnelll who were simply being friendly and joking about her love life, or something lighthearted of the sort. I belive her Mom said in an article once that she had to stop Kate from doing things like fliring with a bartender and acting like she was in love with him just to get a drink when she was underage. I think this girl is a spoiled ass, a gameplayer. I hope poor Owen has nothing else to do with her. If the family thinks Hudson is no good for Owen and has led to this situation, Im sure they probably know what they are talking about. God bless this poor guy. He has too much going for himself to try to commit suicide.
