Hamptons police blotter: Heather Mills does what she wants

Heather Mills poked her tongue out at a US policeman for giving her a parking ticket.

Heather, the estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney - who is holidaying in New York's exclusive Hamptons resort - has collected several parking tickets for parking wherever she pleases without a disabled permit.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She's been hell on wheels. She's parking in front of fire hydrants and in handicapped zones without a handicapped tag.

"She showed one unimpressed town cop her prosthetic leg while he was writing her up a ticket. Then she stuck her tongue out at him as soon as he turned his back."

Heather is renting director Nora Ephron and writer Nick Pileggi's mansion in the Georgica Pond area of East Hampton.

The 39-year-old ex-model and the Beatles legend are on a family holiday with their three-year-old daughter Beatrice, though they are both staying in different locations.

A source said: "It won't be a conventional family holiday - there is still tension."

Last month, it was claimed Paul, 65, will give Heather £70 million in their divorce settlement.

He has reportedly agreed to give the former model a lump sum of £15 million, along with a further £3.5 million every year until Beatrice turns 18.

Paul, who will share custody of Beatrice with Heather, is set to pay for his daughter's schooling, travel, security and nannies.

The divorce deal is also said to include a clause banning the pair from speaking publicly about the breakdown of their marriage.
