Hey! I was going to say that! :) I hope he's never 'forgiven' by the NFL, he doesn't deserve to be looked up to as a role model by our children. There are four different groups in this world that are the most vulnerable: children, animals, elderly, and the infirmed (whether it be medical, or a mental/physical disability) ANYBODY who takes advantage of, or harms one of these groups, is the worst kind of evil. To take advantage of, and harm something so helpless and unable to escape from you is unspeakable. He needs to go flip burgers somewhere for the rest of his disgusting life.

Yes, If he asked God for forgiveness thats really all that matters- Whether people choose to forgive him or not just shows the hatred in their hearts.people I'm sure alot of you need forgiveness for something far worse than animals.

Hunting is killing in order to eat, not murder in the name of money. It simply catches dinner for you.
Dog fighting injures and/or kills an innocent animal for an individual's blood lust and gambling greed, making it murder. Do those people eat the dogs afterwards? NO.
The wanton harming of innocent animals is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. And addressing it should NEVER involve personal philosophical and religious beliefs.
Torturing something in the name of gambling, and bloodsport is wrong, period. Any logical mind not blinded by their over-zealous hatred of those who believe differently than they do can see that.

Deer hunting vs. dog fighting.
There is no justice in the animal kingdom. Wild animals fight and die and get raped all the time. Dogs have the unique distinction of being man's best friend. They were the first domestic animals. Like it or not, they are not part of the animal kingdom. They are special. They are protected.
So, Michael Vick did not appreciate the place dogs have in our society and probabaly never anticipated the consequences of his actions. I am sure he is sorry he participated in dog fighting, but not because he suddenly finds it deplorable. If he really had integrity he would be publicly outraged that his career has been destroyed because of his treatment of livestock. But, instead of being a man and standing up for what he believes in, he cowers behind the magic monkey in the sky.
Come On ! ! ! ! You cant compare dog fighting to hunting ! These dogs were tortured, starved and TRAINED to fight to the death. This isnt somthing that is natural for these domesticated animals it has to be taught.
If hunting was not allowed imagine the huge deer herds that would devistated crops, thus damaging our food supply. Hunting is leagal and needed and is monitered.

Take it easy people. Don't get all up in arms with these anti-hunting tree huggers posting here. They're probably wearing leather belts you know. It has nothing to do with what Vick did, which was abuse innocent creatures. I'll never forgive him for it, and neither will many others. He's lying to the world by saying what he's saying right now, all he wants is to get back on the field. I say he doesn't deserve it. He needs to earn that back, maybe by working at animal shelters shoveling sh*t for a few years, and seeing the plight of some of these creatures. (that's if he has a heart)
p.s. I still have some steaks from last year's deer hunt in my freezer. I think I'll eat it very slowly while laughing at the people who think killing an animal for food is wrong. Yummy!
