Russell Crowe wants his son to be a sports star.
The 'Gladiator' actor has started playing soccer with his eldest son Charlie, three, and has been tackling him to prepare him for rougher sports when he gets older.
Russell, 43, said: "I don't want to really make him focus on contact sports just yet. He's too little for that. But I do chase him around the room and tackle him every now and then, which he enjoys as a game.
"We take a soccer ball to the park and kick it around every now and then."
The New Zealand-born actor and his wife Danielle Spencer also have a one-year-old son, Tennyson Spencer.
Russell recently expressed his desire to be a perfect father in an emotional note which he plans to bury in a time capsule for 25 years.
In the note, he writes: "Our lives have been blessed by you. Whatever comes along, I will always love you with my whole being and soul. My hope is that you find the things, people and love that bring you joy. Every day of my life is better because I am a father."
