"Veronica Mars" star Kristen Bell is set to star in NBC’s hit show "Heroes".
The 27-year-old will make her first appearance in October as Elle.
Elle has ties to the supposed death of Peter Petrelli, Noah Bennet’s past and Claire Bennet’s future.
Elle will kick off her arc by committing a serious crime.
The show’s creator-exec producer, Tim Kring revealed that it was really difficult to get dates from the busy actress who plays the title character in Judd Apatow’s upcoming ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and was reportedly being sought for several TV gigs, including a part on ABC’s ‘Lost’.
“This was not easy to pull off. But since we’re an ensemble show, with many arcs playing out through the year, we found a way to jump into a small window in (Bell’s) schedule,” Variety magazine quoted Kring, as saying.
Universal Media Studios president Katherine Pope also hinted that pulling off Bell for the shoe was not an easy task as ‘many studios (were) chasing her in both film and TV’.

I heart Kristen Bell. She rocks! But I can't believe she will be on Heroes over LOST. I'm really bummed about that, I really wanted to see her added to the LOST cast for season four. Oh well, best of luck to her.
