Don Imus is an idiot and it is abouit time someone put him in check. This is not the first time he has made insulting comments against a black female athlete. Remember he and his co-hort commenting on the Williams Sisters. I would like for him meet these women face to face and see his decrepit old self defend his words. I am sickened by the radio louts and their stupid and insensitive nonsensical comments. God for you Kia. Money is the only thing some idiots understand. Kick him and every other fool in the pocket.

This has to be one of the dumbest things i've seen in a long time. Imus should file suit against her for being a human disgrace and a worthless gold digger.

Somebody said something that someone else did not like.
That somebody got fired for saying that something. He's been punished already for that something. NOW Someone else has the bright idea that they can profit from this media circus.
WHEN the person in the BLACK ROBE with the gavel has this across his/her bench ...someone else is in for a big surprise.

What is a hoe?Aug 18th, 2007 - 14:52:42

I was curious and decided to look up the word 'hoe'.
First, it is an abbreviation for whore.
Second, it is interesting to note, that the word 'whore' does not only have sexual connotations..
It can also be used as:
v. debase oneself by doing something for unworthy motives, typically to make money :
(i.e. he had never whored after money.) Maybe Imus used the right word in the wrong context.

Even if Don Imus made derogatory comments, how is that a cause of action in our legal system?

hey Norma Russell what do you mean by serve justice ?

Imus never mentioned anybody by name, and is guilty only of saying a foolish tasteless phrase in an attempt at being funny and hip.

it was not directed any any one by name. He lost his job in an over reaction that was led by the biggest racist, hypocrite and con artist, namely Al Sharpton and his mentor Jesse Jackson. If those 2 did not make such a big deal out of it, no-one would have ever remembered it was said

Don Imus is a man who gives of his time and money to help kids with cancer
and many other charities. He is a good man, who makes his living doing sarcastic comedy. He made a mistake, apologised on the air many times and to these players in person, he lost his show and was publicly humiliated for weeks

Now in a cheap ploy to grab money, a law suit is filed

this woman deserves not one cent and people like yourself, are the weak minded simpletons that can't undersatnd all of this

not ashamed to say it.Aug 25th, 2007 - 00:10:07

It's because of the blacks. Not the worldly educated ones. It's the ignorant grudge holding ones that CHRIS ROCK always refers to.
Nobody owes them anything they just have to learn to learn and move on. Don't worry she will not win this case. Who wants to start a petition against her to drop this suit.

Get Over ItAug 27th, 2007 - 15:35:48

Ok come on!!! All this has been blown out of proportion. I'm sure the Rutgers team is so emotionally scared and permenitly hindered from Don Imus's comment! The only thing that can fix this is a couple million dollars in their pocket! Right! What a joke!

'I am troubled that, as usual, certain race hucksters seized on the event and, as usual, our society has allowed itself to be bullied into conceding their legitimacy and emboldening them.'

'I've grown suspicious of the sanctimonious types — in the media and elsewhere — who slobber all over themselves in self-congratulation when they publicly condemn statements or actions as racist.'

Both of these quotes are from a NewsMax article, Fight Racism Everywhere, that really puts things into perspective for me! You can find it at NewsMax.com when you search the title. We all know this is about the money! I feel as if we pick and choose when we want to acknowledge words as racism or not!

ApologySep 4th, 2007 - 22:26:00

look it takes a big person to say I APOLOGIZE. When the apology is turned down the OFFENDED becomes the jerk. I-MAN did his part. But quite simply black people do not accept apologies. Been there done that.
If they wanted to be the bigger person they should have simply accepted his apology. DONE !
