The funny thing about money is that it can always be made again.

This is why mail order Law Schools have to be more selective and they've got to stop pumping out Diplomas. Add to it, The Bar Exam has got to be tougher. This is the end result, when these 'Lawyers' can not get work.

Good for Kia Vaughn. Not one of the admirable young athletes of Rutgers deserved the despicable comments of a cheap sensationalist. I hope justice will be served.

Honey...your so ignorant it's saddening...

You women should be ashamed of yourselves. The man apologized, lost his job and his reputation, and yet you still want more. ALL you are doing is increasing resentment toward your race. Can you not understand that?

Nice try Hairless Bear...
However, I've attended several events surrounding this fiasco and time after time I hear the same stats of >400 cases brought against offensive lyrcs in Hip-Hop/Rap/Gangsta Rap songs in the months of 2007 preceding the Imus strike in April 2007.
The >400 represented NYC cases alone.

I've heard worse on radio and TV than Imus' comments. Frivolous lawsuits like these have only one goal - to go after the money. We had all better start gagging ourselves, otherwise, anything and anyone is fair game. To the plaintiff - KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!

Wow Jack, you are a bigger arsehole than me. Threatening to burn down someone's home because you don't like the law suit they are pursuing. Thank Baby Jesus I have friends and fans like you. You are my best ally in this fight with these whores. Can I call you as a witness. Bring your flame thrower and don't forget to kill their whole family and not just a few of the nappy heads. Thanks pal.

Having worked in lawsuits for a long time, this case is nappy headed. The woman deserves a few thousand for her pain and suffering. But that's all. I'm sure there are members of that team who have made racially insensitive remarks. Yes, Imus was an establishment figure, but the plaintiffs in this case don't muster much sympathy. He got fired. Move on.

Your headline repeats part of Imus' language. How does it differ? Yes, language can hurt, repeating it signifies it is OK. Is it? Does your usage endorse his?

Nobody was aware of the Rutgers Hos until Imus made them so. The whole team became a bunch of nappy headed hos when the irrelevant Al sharpton pimped them out for his own publicity.

How pathetic. You don't want people to think you're a nappy-headed hoe...and what do you do? Anyone else feel that she's playing right into the stereotype of the 'lazy black?'

Can you nappyheads say freedom of speech. Check the dictionary for 'nappy', its actually used to describe your hair! As far as the hoes comment, that was a little uncalled for but well within the boundaries of free speech. What about all these rappers demeaning women to their lowest form? This lawsuit makes me sick.

IS REALLY FOR HIM,, AS THE IRS DOES NOT TAX THAT.

WHAT A BUM YOU ARE...DON IMUS!

I am by no means a Don Imus fan but I say this lawsuit can be lumped in to the category of 'the coffee at McDonald's is hot!' The women on the basketball team were defamed as a group meaning, no one even new Vaughn's name before she singled herself out with this lawsuit. Also, I didn't read in the article where Ancowitz is doing this pro bono. He can claim the money is going to charity all he wants but I'm sure he'll see a healthy fee should Vaughn win. Way to help your occupation's good name counselor.

Let's talk clearly now. This whole fracas was over 3 words Don Imus said - 'nappy headed hos.' But its the 3rd word that is offensive ... a word not made popular by white shock-jocks but my black rappers. If Imus is sued, why not just go back to the source(s) and sue the rappers who dared create and use the word in music?

The Jews of New York did not sue Rev. Jesse Jackson when he referred to New York as 'himey town.' Nor did the NAACP sue Ross Perot when he referred to an African American audience as 'you people.' Both Jackson and Perot were guilty of bad taste ... just as guilty as Don Imus. And all three paid a price in public image when they did it ... with Imus losing his job over it to add salt to the wound. Pouring the red ants of a lawsuit on top of that salt helps no one. And if this doesn't qualify as a frivolous lawsuit, I don't know what would.
