David Beckham's burger trouble

David Beckham is in trouble with his new boss for eating junk food.

The soccer superstar has been seen scoffing burgers and guzzling down calorie-laden coffees since arriving in the US to start his contract with Los Angeles Galaxy.

David, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, admits his new manager Frank Yallop has been less than impressed with his dietary habits.

The former England captain said: "Unfortunately the photographers get me eating at certain places where I shouldn't really be eating because I'm a sportsman. They have pictured me going out to get hamburgers and have taken photos of me getting coffees."

David has also revealed the paparazzi interest in him and wife Victoria is now calming down.

When the couple - who have three sons together, Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, four and two-year-old Cruz - first moved Stateside in July their every move was tracked by a throng of photographers.

But the 32-year-old sportsman says the numbers are slowly dwindling.

He revealed: "The first week we had about 47 cars following us, then 25 and the other day it was down to 15, so we are slowly starting to lose them.

"The paparazzi have been pretty friendly to us so far, but when we left through the back door of a restaurant the other day there were quite a few boos because they didn't get their pictures.

"It is just part of our lives. We have got used to it as a family and as a married couple. We have never complained about it because our lives are quite public. The only thing we have always said we wouldn't accept is the intrusion on our kids."
