Melanie 'Scary Spice' Brown EPA/ANDREW GOMBERTThe 'Spice Girls' singer says film producer Stephen has proven popular with her daughters Phoenix Chi, eight, and four-month-old Angel Iris - and has even won the approval of her mother Andrea.Mel told Britain's Hello! magazine: "He has met my mum and kids - they really like him. We're very happy together. He's just a very caring and considerate person."Mel says Stephen helped her through her bitter split from Eddie Murphy and her second pregnancy.She revealed: "Stephen was really there for me during the pregnancy. We'd known each other for years, but one day he just turned to me and said 'You know, I've liked you for a long time', and I said 'Really, I never knew that'. That part of me got shut down, which is what happens when you get hurt. But he's been my tower of strength."The 'Dreamgirls' actor publicly ended their relationship when Mel was five months pregnant and refused to acknowledge the child she was carrying was his. A paternity test in June confirmed Murphy was Angel Iris' father.(C) BANG Media International
