Bruce Lee registration plate sold in Hong Kong

Hong Kong - A vehicle registration plate bearing the name BRUCELEE after the legendary martial arts star was bought for 40,000 Hong Kong dollars (5,128 US dollars) at a government auction Saturday. The buyer, an unnamed businessman, said he was willing to pay up to 1 million Hong Kong dollars for the registration plate. He said he planned to consult Bruce Lee's wife before deciding how to use the license plate and may display it, along with other Bruce Lee paraphernalia, at the Avenue of Stars in the Tsim Sha Tsui tourist district. The plate was one of 120 registration tags sold at the government's third auction of personalised marks. Under the scheme, members of the public can put forward suggestions for possible registrations.
