What do you expect from another narcissistic American male actor??
Thers no better way to draw attention to yourself than thru some wing-nut Jungle dictator with a pile of oil in his backyard! Never mind taking a long cold look at world History to see where despots wind up. Did Sean Penn major in History in College?? Perhaps not.
Oh what the hell, let the newspaper reporters tell us about modern History ---They are the best and the brightest---- Chavez has so much to offer the world-----right.

thank you Maria Conchita Alonso-for calling it what it is
-my Venezuelan friends have had to quietly send money out of the country and are leaving much like the Cubans did back in the sixties all due to this criminal taking people's land and real estate at will, plus he took control of the tv stations there too-
Chavez is a megalomaniac prima donna, and our actors just need to shut up and act -and write up their opinion pieces for Slate or other blogs...

I am proud to live in a country where everyone can freely voice their political opinion. At home, we have complete free speach; when Abroad, we should remain united. To speak this way to a foreign head of state, so adamently hateful to our ways and our President is inexcusable. All Mr. Chavez wants to do is feed his ego at US' expense. Mr. Penn's acts are inexcusable and exhibit his ignorance of history.

Sean Penn may very well be stupid for going there but most of the things the say about your current President are true. He goes to war over WMD then changes the reasons to liberating Iraq? He opposes stem cell research, abortions and gay marriage. The Bush administration are forcing their so-called morals and values on the American people. Tell me how the richest country in the world kids are falling behind most industrialized countries as far as education. The TV stations are run by people who have a social agenda(i.e. Left -wing or right wing)so your stations are being controlled just like Chavez is doing in his own country. Bush is about 2 inches away from being just like Chavez. Freedom of speech? Yeah, right! Look at Don Imus. He LOST his job over something he said. Personally, I think Chavez and Bush need to go. See you both in Hell.
