Will you be printing a retraction or correcting this story now that the autopsy has proven the dogs did not cause this man's death?
as a representative of Bullmastiff, Dogue de Bordeaux, and a helper of English Mastiff, and Neapolitan Mastiff rescue, let me just say, there are many more types of Mastiffs. Get your breed right and facts straight before making a generality. It could be that the man had a heart attack and died and the dogs were trying to pull him to safety, or wake him up, and that is where the so called teeth marks came from. Mastiffs are very loyal and no, they don't turn on their owners. I have a Dogue de Bordeaux that I adopted from rescue, he has scars all over and is only about 3, but is the most loving dog to me, my friends, and other dogs. They forgive. Please get facts straight and reprint story. I love how news people are so ready to report a story, but not willing to correct themselves. Bad Journalism.
I thought that if someone was reporting the news that they had to be truthful??? Wow what an eye opener!! Ya Same here I do rescue and own Bullmastiff's too. I have been bitten and attacked by 20 and 10 lbs dogs than any other types. This article is the reason so many people are stupid to the real dog world and why BSL is rapidly growing. People wake up and realize the harm your doing!! The more people I meet the more I love my Bullmastiff and dogs alike. People suck all around!!!!!!
