Amy Winehouse and her new husband are set to buy a Miami love nest.

The 'Rehab' singer and Blake Fielder-Civil believe Miami is the perfect place for a holiday home because they were married there in May.

Friends also claim the couple were in the sun-drenched city when Blake first realised he was in love with Amy.

In 2006, Amy took him on a secret tour of America while they were both with their previous partners.

They soon became aware of their strong feelings for each other and decided to officially become an item.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "They love Miami, it has this draw for them.

"Amy is romantic - it is a special place for her because that is where they got married. It is ideal. They have the sunshine, the beach and a brilliant nightlife too."

Amy's secret Miami wedding upset her mother, who was keen for her daughter to have a wedding in Britain.

The 'Back to Black' singer sees buying a property as the perfect way to prove how much Miami means to her.

The source added: "Her mum hated the fact Amy got married without her over there. She wanted to do the whole Jewish wedding for her little princess.

"Amy wants to buy a place out there to prove to her mum how much she loves it."
