Dire news for Paris Hilton, now said to be $60 million out of pocket after her billionaire grandfather Barron is allegedly "appalled" by her stay in jail for drunk-driving offenses.

Family patriarch Barron Hilton was said to be already embarrassed by his granddaughter's behavior - back when her sex video was leaked on the internet and made for sale, according to Australia's news.com.au.

"He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris," says Jerry Oppenheimer, who wrote a biography called House Of Hilton.

The website claims that Hilton senior "has let it be known that he intends to donate to charity the $2.4 billion he will gain from this month's sale of the company to private equity firm Blackstone."

They report that the money will go to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, a charity set up in the name of the founder of their family business.

You mean she'll have to be satisfied with the millions she will inherit from her father and the several million she 'earns' each year doing dumb things??? What a crying shame!

Just reinforced my belief that bad people always get it in the end. May that be a lesson to all the would be bimbos in the world, stay the straight and narrow path, get an education, and develop a personality.

Just my humble opinion.

But it does bring a smile to your face...you have to admit.

Paris is great... She didn't deserve to go to jail at all. Her grandfather is unable to think logically and it is a shame... What sort of grandfather punishes his own flesh and blood because of the cheesy stories on trashy mags.

She is a hero and she will go far.... Go, Paris!!!

S Dorsett,

Are you in the real world with everyone else? She did deserve to go to Jail just like anyone would for driving under the influence, violating probation or on a suspended liscence. Why wouldn't she?? Why wouldn't her grandfather feel like she has tarnished the family name with her excessive partying, sex video's, wasteful spending- whose family wouldn't be ashamed. Unless you are some totally morally bankrupt anarchist, most people could recognize the justice in this- Maybe her grandfather realizes that the money would be put to better use than to let Paris squander it away and make a fool of herself and her family.

congratulations to paris hiltons grandfather. a little too late for paris to recoup. the grandfather is from the old school of morality and fairness. i salute him for giving to charity the money that paris would have inherited and most likely used for who knows what. this way it will help people who really need it. way to go barron hilton.

Paris has already squandered her self-respect. She's played the fool and lived a pointless existence so far but as far as I can tell, those who profit by her or live vicariously through her are on par or worse.

I used to think that the Hilton family was as thrashy as Paris - looking at the kind of values she has been brought up on. Now her Grandfather's action has made me change my view. He did the right thing. Paris has shamed her family - I wish all of them had disinherited her long ago or at least not supported her disgraceful behavior.

When Barron's father died in 1979, he left the bulk of his estate to the Roman Catholic Church and other charities, and almost nothing to his children. Barron contested the will because of his lifelong career of working to build the hotel company and won his lawsuit in 1988. His half-sister, Francesca, lost her case and received nothing.
Francesca is the daughter of Zsa Zsa Gabor--getting the nutbag picture??

Old dipshit just screwed the whole family, after he had fought to keep from being screwed himself--what a dumbass

Well, she weezled out of harsh judiciary repercussions, but she couldn't escape the disdain of her own grandfather. The rich's young need a moral compass. This is a step in the right direction though she should have had NO impunity from the law.
