Lauren Bacall has branded Hollywood a zoo - claiming today's stars are more interested in fame than acting.
The 'How To Marry A Millionaire' actress, who was married to fellow screen legend Humphrey Bogart, has no respect for the current celebrity circus.
Lauren fumed: "I love my profession. I have tremendous respect for it.
"What I don't have respect for is the red carpet and the celebrity scene. It's become a zoo.
"It's so stupid. They ask you stupid questions, 'What are you wearing?' Oh, Christ almighty!"
However, one modern actress she does have respect for is Nicole Kidman, who she starred with in 'Birth' and 'Dogville'.
In 2004, Bacall famously snapped at a reporter when he claimed Kidman was a legend, saying: "She can't be a legend at whatever age she is."
But Bacall insists there's no animosity between the pair.
She said: "I love her and we've become great friends. She's marvellous, intelligent."

if there are any young entertainers out there who will be able to fill Nicole's shoes - I seriously doubt it at the rate they are going.
