Dita Von Teese says Madonna is her style icon.
The burlesque dancer says the singer directly influenced her own distinct vintage look and is the only modern star daring enough to experiment with fashion.
Dita said: "Madonna is the only modern celebrity who is a true style icon. Who else has the audacity to dress like her these days? She really influenced how I wanted to look when I was growing up, and made me realise that I didn't have to look like a blonde beach bunny or a Playboy model."
The 34-year-old performer - the ex-wife of shock rocker Marilyn Manson - admits she fell in love with the feminine glamour of the 30s and 40s when she was a young girl.
Dita explained: "When I was a girl I fell in love with the femininity and elegance of those decades. I think that period will always influence women's fashion."
