Lindsay Lohan allegedly took two men hostage in the car she was driving at the time of her arrest on Tuesday (24.07.07).
The 21-year-old actress sped away with the two men following an argument with her assistant Tarin Graham at a Malibu party.
Lohan, who was said to have been drinking all evening, attended the party with Graham, her unnamed boyfriend and his three friends Dante Nigro, Jakon Sutter and Ronnie Blake.
Nigro, Sutter and Blake had been waiting in Nigro's GMC Denali car for Graham's boyfriend to drive them home.
In an emotional state, Lohan - whose assistant told her she was quitting during their heated exchange before driving off alone in her own car - jumped in the driver's seat, started the engine and gave chase.
A panicked Blake jumped out of the vehicle and claims Lindsay carried on driving, running over his foot.
The 21-year-old star followed Graham onto Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway, at which point Nigro told gossip website TMZ.com he tried to grab the wheel, prompting Lohan to say, "If you touch me I'll sue you."
When Lohan finally caught up with Graham she began circling her assistant's vehicle in the middle of the road.
At one point, the troubled star allegedly boasted: "I can't get in trouble. I'm a celebrity. I can do whatever the f**k I want."
Graham managed to lose Lohan and Nigro claims the actress then decided to drive to Graham's mother's house in Santa Monica to try and find her.
As they arrived, Graham's mother was pulling into the driveway, but was so panicked by Lohan's erratic driving, she immediately drove off.
The men claim Lohan then began to chase her at speeds of up to 80mph through Santa Monica, running several red lights.
Nigro realised the 'Bobby' star was being led to the local police station and warned Lohan to halt her pursuit or she would be arrested. He claims she replied: "I'm a celebrity. I'm not going to get in trouble."
The two cars eventually stopped in a car park near the station, and when officers arrived, Nigro is convinced he heard Lohan tell them: "I wasn't driving."
Nigro and Sutter then saw Lohan fail the field sobriety test, alleging when she tried to touch her nose, she almost fell over.
Lohan's representatives have refused to comment on the allegations.
The actress currently faces charges of DUI, possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custody facility and driving on a suspended licence.

Lindsey is beautiful. Everyone is trying to embellish their versions of what happened to get some light. As far as I am concerned her assistant is an ungrateul you know what and probably wanted to set her up! Do your thing baby girl and get a good legal team like Vick!

Man...this girl needs some help. It's hard to feel sorry for rich people but even rich people have problems too. She deserves to be punished but she also deserves to get help to beat her addictions. Drew Barrymore should take her to the side & give her a heart-to-heart. I do hope she gets past all this soon, tho.
A felony is different than a misdemeanor, and it is possible that Lindsay could be sent to a State Prison, which would make Paris' jail cell look like the Ritz.
There are several morals to the story. First, whenever someone says they are 'going into rehab' assume that it means they are looking for an excuse to escape the heat. Second, if you're rich and famous, hire someone to drive you around, even if you have to hire three people and have them each work an 8 hour shift. And third, attention deficit disorder, which is the malady afflicting most celebrities, is a far greater illness than drug or alcohol abuse.
Having said all that, I expect Ms. Lohan to claim that she has an addiction problem. It will probably be her only hope to avoid prison.
it's clear that she is an overrated spoiled 'actress' (child star soon to be has been) who should be in jail with drug addicts and criminals like her. her wasted and pointless life is not worth note, or discussion.
Hopefully she will so get it. One bad choice equals screwing up your life. If she could have stayed sober..none of this would have happend.

Its hard to belive Lindsey forced these big strong men into a truck or suv! this whole story sounds like a set up! from the start to finish..

'Bullwind' or whatever your username is, you are an IDIOT. Of course Lindsay Lohan didn't have to 'force' these men into the car. One of them tried to get out of the ALREADY moving vehicle and got his foot run over. I think its safe to say that no one is going to tuck and roll out of a car where a crazy cocaine and drunk woman is speeding at epic proportions. I think for you to say that you are 'behind her' and that we all are is both over-zealous and ignorant. She is just a person like the rest of us, a medicore actress at best and an average citizen. If it were some random homeless man that jumped into the car with these three men and sped after someone in an angry-rage than everyone in the known universe would scrutinize him. If it were you or I who did this, we would already be in jail. Lindsay Lohan needs to stop getting breaks just because shes 'a celebrity'. IF a person has the state of mind to justify their wild actions because of their status in life then it is clearly up to our judicial system to knock her off her high horse. Lohan is not above the law. Just because she makes some terrible filth of films does not equate her having a free pass to life where she can do whatever she pleases. Lohan could have killed people; she endangered her life, the lives of the individuals in the car, the lives of the individuals who were being chased and the lives of everyone else on the same roads as her. I think YOU need to carefully read the article and understand it in an analytical way. You need to understand DETAILS and not just come off with some ignorant idea of what happened. These men were already in the car, the drivers seat empty. Lohan got into the car at that part and begin to drive away. As the article further states, an individual tried to take control of the car and she threatened to sue. Since you love Lohan so much, would you have wanted them to physically restrain her in order to stop the chase? Because we all know if that's what happened, people such as yourself would be flipping out about poor-frail-cocaine addict statured Lindsay was manhandled when all she wanted to do was go for a nice scenic drive. Get over her and yourself. She needs to be responsible for her actions and stop being a hideous woman-child without a care in a world.

yeah well i think her high jacking that car sounds a bit rediculous to me, but we can't actually make a fair judgement if we weren't even there. So i really don't care about what she does in her personal life im still gonna go and see her movies cause i think she is a great actress, and she didn;t work with all these famous actors by being crap. If u say that then i reckon ur just jelous and i would like to see if u could do a better job of acting then she can. Which i dout you could or u would be a celebrity too. I do think she should go to jail for what ever they send her to jail for, cause rehab isn;t working and maybe this will help her realise that she needs to get her life together and that u do have to face the consequences of ur actions. Even if u may not have done everything that people claim u have done. Cause u know there is never just one side to a story, lindsay isn't the only one able to lie, so until her courte hearing im not gonna believe anything from some stupid magazine or gossip sight.
no one really respects celebs and you cant until you live in LA and can experience their life first hand. IT SUCKS. ya they're rich and famous but they can't go anywhere without being seen and causing chaos for all the people around them. I wouldn't wish this kind of fame on anyone we all have skeletons in our closet and have all done bad things our's just isn't shown on the 6 o'clock news. They are under pressure that normal people can't even fathom give her a break.
Unfortunatly I can say her new movie wasn't good even the lame strip club scene in which the movie depicts the industry negatively. Go see Lindsay for her movies what she gets paid to do and stop watching the news thats the only way occurances like this will stop
