Lindsay Lohan's cocaine charge

Lindsay Lohan has been charged on suspicion of DUI (driving under the influence), possession of cocaine and driving with a suspended licence, just a week after checking out of rehab.
The 21-year-old actress - who recently completed a 45-day programme for alcoholism - was stopped by police in Santa Monica, California, at around 2.15am on Tuesday (24.07.07).
Police were responding to a call about a car chase involving two vehicles. Officers have confirmed that Lindsay was driving two companions in the pursuing car.
The star - who is currently facing a separate DUI charge after crashing her car in Beverly Hills in May - was taken to a Santa Monica jail after failing a sobriety test.
Another search at the station found cocaine in her pants pocket, and her breath test recorded a blood alcohol level of between .1.2 and .1.3. Lindsay was subsequently charged with the three offences.
The actress' bail was set at $25,000 and she left the station at around 9am on Tuesday morning.
The news comes just days after the star - who has been wearing an alcohol-monitoring ankle device since leaving rehab - surrendered herself to Beverly Hills police and was formally booked for DUI following her car crash in May.
Lindsay arrived at the station with her lawyer last Thursday (19.07.07) and was released on $30,000 bail an hour later. A court date was set for August 24.

Are her fingerprints on the bag of cocaine? (They problably won't check it, because it could be planted)
A breathtest reads the alcohol level that your stomach still releases, not the blood, so it could very well be, that she only has 0.8 promille in her blood (which is also too high, but at least it is not a lie like the law said)
Was she offered to wait half an hour before driving again (as it is written in the law)?
A Carchase with 2 cars??? And what about the other car, why aren't they telling about that?
Now tell me, how can you be charged with SUSPICION, whick is an assumption, now the army knows that assumption is the mother of all screwups, the NSA knows it, the FBI knows it, even the KGB knows it, the only ones that REFUSE to know it is again THE LAW which is still living in the 2nd world war.
You see, i can file a complaint againt a judge too telling that i suspect him from childrape, but what will happen, i will be charged with harrassment, while the law can brake the law everytime the please, and that is a law that WE have to uphold? Why don't these people from the law start UPHOLDING it first BEFORE they put it in to practice and come nagging with their hypocritical faces to our heads. Unless the law wants to continue provoking the people and create much more criminals that way?
The reason there are criminals is partly the fault of the law itself, because they refuse to uphold it, now if the law sets an example like they should according to the oath they took, it's only logical that the people will do it too, and the only way to stop that is TO STOP BREAKING THE LAW oh dear people from the law.

i feel sorry for this young lady who's personel life is being explotted all over the news, radio, newspapers, and the world wide web. it is beyond me how she could cope with all of her own stuff without using drugs or alcohol as a crutch. but to have deal deal with unsensitive boobs broadcasting all her character defects around the world if i could speak with her i would say to her deal with the shame and guilt that accompanies relapse and keep your head up dont forget lindsey if you pick up none of them are going to get high just you so forget anyone elses opinion also people who talk dont matte, and people who matter dont talk.

Give this girl what she is really looking for a father figure. Her mom is going around stating that she is ok. It is very clear that you are dealing with a very unstable person. It is time to help the person, not the career.
Give me a break feeling sorry for her. She has made millions being a public figure and has basked in the limelight of her fame. She needs to take responsibility for her and other's lives. Drinking and driving puts others at risk. She has enough resources to hire a driver..
Show me a movie where she is any good. Show me anything that she has done to better society. She is a spoiled rich kid who needs to grow up. It is not as if this is her first brush with this sort of thing. We all deserve a break for the first offense. But when you call attention to yourself in the public eye, you bring on this sort of scrutiny. She has not kept a low profile..

What I really do not understand is why don't Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton just hire sober people to drive for them? I guess they truly are just that stupid....
Society owes it to others who might follow in her footsteps to toss her in jail for at least 6 months. Each time one of these bimbos gets away with it, it sends a message. This is a second offense, and we need an example of the justice system at work. There are many fine actresses in Hollywood who are sober, and would be delighted to get the work, and the press coverage. Let's give some of them some ink, and stick Lohan away to thoroughly dry out. Reputedly, she has a hard time being alone, but being alone is the only way someone is forced to stop and face their problems.
There's no reason that good looks gets you off. Enough. The press should stop covering the story completely once she's locked up, and make her earn her way back to fame (or notoriety) when she's released into a half-way facility. No insurance or bonding company will cover her for a film role. It's over - the point now is to keep her from doing a Cobain.

This is our society today and we only have ourselves to blame. Everyone blames everyone else except themselves.
You know what you are doing when you climb behind the wheel. I have on many occasions drunk more than my system can handle, but the first thing I do is call someone or designate a non-drinking person to to the driving or take a Taxi home.
As far as drugs are concerned, many people, including my self have had the option to say yes or no and have chosen no.
And as far as having a Father figure, or Mother for that fact. I had neither from the age of one and I turned out just fine.

Rehabilitation Clinics are not responsible for curing people of their addictions---people owe that to themselves. I sometimes think that I drink too much, so, I always question my behavior. I have had two DUI's in my life, about 11 years apart. I am getting older, but, I still enjoy drinking beer. I just do not drive any longer after 2 beers.
Do I think I have a problem? No. I believe my moderate intake is a gift from God in an age where people eat/drink too much junk, including medical medications. Beer is a gift of nature, and, I will never be convinced otherwise.
Lindsay, she is out of control. She obviously has rooted problems that go deeper than what her behavior reflects. This should be a good lesson for American Girls---you are better off studying hard, have good friends, find a career/husband, and work legitimately for your Daily Bread. Lindsay lives in a world of fake Hollywood Assholes, where, the only thing they care about is money. (By the Way, their movies suck.)

WHO CARES if jail doesn't help addicts? It is not designed to help addicts it is designed to punish people who break the law. No one is addicted to driving. They may be addicted to a substance but since it is illegal they should never have had it in their possession to get addicted. They may be addicted to alcohol and prescriptions but that does not mean they have an uncontrollable urge to drive. Stop the excuses!

While I make no excuses for Ms. Lohan, why isn't ANYONE criticizing this so-called 'rehab' facility that has failed repeatedly to rehabilitate any of their clients. It seems like for the past six months several high-profile celebs have been in and out of this place multiple times. Just absolutely confounding, especially considering the prices they charge...
