According to E!, Laila Ali and Curtis Conway were married in front of about 200 guests. The site reports that the 29-year-old Laila Ali wore a champagne-colored silk strapless mermaid gown designed for her walk down the aisle by Amy Michelsen.
The two 12-year-old twin sons of Curtis Conway, Kelton and Cameron, were dual ringbearers and Leilani Conway, his 8-year-old daughter was the flower girl.
Juliet Ryan, the wedding coordinator, told People magazine about the nuptials and said, "Laila's approach to the wedding was simple but elegant. There were no lions and tigers and bears. It was about the love."
Curtis Conway spent most of his time with the Bears before he retired in 2004, and popped the question to Laila Ali on Thanksgiving.
Laila also finished third on the recent season of "Dancing With the Stars."
E! reports that Ali is in no hurry to put on the boxing gloves again. Laila Ali told JET in July, "Now that I'm getting married in July to my fiancé, Curtis Conway, I am beginning to doubt whether such fights will happen before I transition to the next phase of my life and career. Additionally, while I haven't made an issue of this on "Dancing with the Stars," I have really bad knees-and I'm only 29...The one thing I know is that whatever I choose to do, I must be and will be passionate about it. And my passion? A healthy lifestyle, which includes fitness, nutritious cooking and a positive outlook on life."
