Prince reportedly banned fans from taking his photograph at one of his shows.
The 'Purple Rain' singer was performing at New York's Social @ Ross concert - the first in a series of five summer events - but wasn't impressed when the audience started using their cameras.
Prince is said to have angrily told fans - who had paid $15,000 for all five concerts - he only has his photograph taken if he gets paid for it, according to the New York Daily News newspaper.
He commanded: "Stop taking my picture! I get paid to do photo shoots."
Prince, who was paid a reported $1 million for his performance, was also annoyed when the crowd - who included Leonardo DiCaprio, Jon Bon Jovi, Jay-Z, Angelica Houston and Christie Brinkley - failed to dance to his some of his biggest hits.
He told the audience: "I see some sleeping white folks in the front!"
Earlier this year, Prince reportedly snubbed Michael Jackson's offer of a joint tour.
The 'Thriller' singer was said to have begged Prince to perform a string of concerts with him to help Michael re-launch his career.
However, Prince told Michael he wasn't interested as he already has plans for his own tour later this year.
