Orlando Bloom was left "crestfallen" after being romantically snubbed by a British actress.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor, who was at the launch of his theatre debut in 'Celebration', desperately tried to flirt with former 'Emmerdale' star Amy Nuttall - but she didn't seem to be interested.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "There was an array of celebrities there including Amy. She looked luscious in a green T-shirt and white jeans. Orlando seemed bowled over by her. They both chatted about acting and it looked as though Orlando was in with a chance.
"But suddenly Amy realised the time and headed off, leaving Orlando looking crestfallen."
Orlando hasn't been in a steady relationship since splitting from actress Kate Bosworth late last year.
The 30-year-old has been romantically linked to a series of Hollywood beauties, including Penelope Cruz, Uma Thurman, Sienna Miller, Kirsten Dunst and Jessica Biel.
Meanwhile, Orlando has denied he will strip for his new theatre role.
The actor has laughed off reports he is set to follow in Daniel Radcliffe's footsteps and bare all on stage.
Orlando said: "I heard what people are saying about me getting naked for the role. But you've read the play. Where would I possibly get my clothes off in it? It's bizarre."

Who would say that Orlando was planning to bare all on stage? It's very strange especially since um... he's not!!! I have no idea as to who thought that one up, but obviously they've caused quite a stir throughout Orlando news all accross the internet. When I first read that Orlando would baring it all on stage I thought to myself that this story sounded quite untrue and made up, mainly because whoever wrote it did not mention why or what part of the play Orlando would exactly be doing this and when questioned I'm sure whoever this is would have everything but a good excuse as to why they would write something like that. Rumors are just so old school, I haven't a clue as to why people write up junk like that whenever thay feel like it, I mean if it's not true than what's the point of even writing it? The only peice of information that this person knew was that Orlando would be in a play called 'In Celebration', so, I have absolutely no clue as to how you get 'Orlando in a nude scene on stage' out of that title, it just makes no sense at all. I wonder who here agrees with me because I'm a very big fan of Orlando and I hate to hear rumors like that about him because even stars who are completely show completely obnoxious behaviour don't deserve to be questioned about issues like that because than they must try to overcome it and that can be quite difficult when you're put right on the spot, so I truly wish that maybe people could find a small bit of light as to what I've written and stop trashing everyone with rumors, because quite frankly gossip is not under any circumstances funny in any way, shape, or form.
