Jessica Alba's buying a home in NYC

Jessica Alba is buying a new home with her boyfriend.

The 'Sin City' star has been house-hunting in New York with her movie producer lover Cash Warren.

The couple, who already live together, have been viewing properties in some of the city's most desirable areas, including Chelsea, SoHo and the West Village.

A friend of Jessica's told the New York Daily News newspaper: "They love visiting New York and have decided to have a second home here. Jessica wants to have a cosy place to stay, since she finds herself working and shopping in New York all the time."

The 26-year-old actress - who met Cash while filming the first 'Fantastic Four' film, on which he worked as a director's assistant - has seemingly been planning to move to the Big Apple for some time.

Last year, Jessica claimed she was planning to quit Hollywood and move to the city so she could star in more independent films and spend more time with Cash.

She said at the time: "It's something I have been considering. Just being an actress and being in a relationship is tough - I don't recommend it."
