The two have notified a federal judge they will use a mediator to try to settle a lawsuit Knievel filed over the use of his trademarked image in a popular 2006 West video, reports Reuters.
The video in question is "Touch the Sky" where West appears as "Evel Kanyevel" and wears a copy of the iconic Knievel white jumpsuit worn throughout his career.
Knievel sued the rapper for infringing on his trademark and likeness.
Typical of many rap videos and songs, the content of West's video set off Knievel, who complained that West's video was full of vulgar and offensive language and sexual images, Reuters reports that Knievel sought an injunction to cease the airing of the video.
Producers Roc-A-Fella Records was also named as a defendant, reports Reuters.
The outcome has been a mediation, with the U.S. District Court in Tampa citing that the parties had agreed to try to reach a settlement in November of this year, reports Reuters.
