Orlando Bloom is sick of just being known as the "guy from the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies".
The actor - who recently reprised his role as swash-buckling hero Will Turner in the third instalment of the high-seas adventure series, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' - admits he questioned his career choices when he turned 30 last January.
He told Britain's Guardian newspaper: "I reached 30 and thought that time was a bit more precious. What did I actually want to do? Since I was 25, I've basically been making 'Pirates…' movies. And, because of the success of those films, that has become the focus. 'Oh, he's the guy from the 'Pirates…' movies' And I had to think, 'Is that what I want?' "
In an effort to be taken more seriously as an actor, Orlando decided it was time to make his theatre debut, and has signed up to appear in the West End revival of David Storey's play 'In Celebration'.
He explained: "I decided I really needed to do some theatre because I was feeling a bit thin."
'In Celebration' - which tells the story of three brothers returning to their hometown in northern England to celebrate their parents' 40th wedding anniversary - opened at London's Duke of York's Theatre on Wednesday (11.07.07).

i think orlando needs to appreciate what he's got, most of us would cut off our heads for a role in the smallest movie ever and he's one of the main characters in the biggest movie in years. he should be proud, i think he's just winy. honestly, he needs to be thanksfull to Peter Jackson for even giving him that job, he was barely out of school and hardly prepared, he's just spoiled and rude!
