Wondering......Jul 5th, 2007 - 15:43:26

Why can't a person end their marriage BEFORE the affair? As someone else said - 'just another man leading with his pe***'!

He swore an oath when he got married in front of God and everybody, and one when he entered office. How are we supposed to have confidence in our officials if they are not good for their word? Your'e screwing up Mayor, and the sad part is that you don't seem at all bothered about it, and that is troubling.

There is more to the split then what is reported for sure. However, promising to honor, love, cherish, and foresake all others requires both individuals in a committed relationship to work towards honoring that committment verses jumping in bed to get your rock's off, and then hiding it for a year. Character counts, especially when it comes to political appointees sworn to uphold the public trust. Bad judgement, lack of character, and just poor behavior should not be tolerated of our officials. If our words aren't important, then what is?

Talk is cheap so they say, and it has been proven over and over. I don't care what these people do in their private lives per se, but it is the fact that they are in a position where they are supposed to have good judgement - this doesn't show that.

We heara lot of nonsense about how personal lives and professional lives are supposed to be seperate. I am just curious how a rationale and mature person can possibly seperate the personal promises made versus the professional promises. Stands to reason if a person is willing to disregard promises to their family then they would have no problem whatsoever disregarding their profession. Adding to that any man that says he can keep the integrity of one without compromising the other is no man. It takes a man to keep his family intact as well as his profession. The mayor and his current honey should both be ashamed for the devastation they have brought to his wife and children not to mention the black mark leveled against the mayorial office of Los Angeles. Maybe the mayor can find a microphone worth talking into about this one. I for one, am not listening.

If this man can cheat on his wife, what can he, or has he done to compromise the City of Los Angeles. He took an oath at marriage and one as Mayor. He is NOT to be trusted. His political career should be finished!

He's too slippery for me. Just look at the way he had Bratton's second term approved under the radar of the PEOPLE of Los Angeles.........just another one of his self serving, underhanded deeds.

Judge someone by their actions, not by their words.

Why! Are the people of LA allowing this man to remain in office. He has proven by these recent events that he cannot be trusted. Obviously, this affair has been going on for quit some time and in secret. I wonder what else the Mayor is hiding from the people of LA that he does not want disclosed.?

In my opinion, no politician should be allowed to remain in office after breaking the oath that he took before God. What is more dispictable the people of LA see no problem with this deplorable behavior.

His wife and children are better off without him. He is no example for his children. His blatant disregard for his children's emotions and family stability are disgusting at best. What a great legacy to leave for your children.

This guy is just another example of the poor leadership that is leading our nation today.

God does exist.

There seems more to the story than what is being reported, and I certainly don't approve of what he'd done. I also don't see him lasting too long in office, but at least he admitted to having the affair unlike Bill Clinton. He stated to Telemundo he needed another person to cover his his press conference because the freindship had become too personal which is a good thing but too little too late. Salinas also needs to get reprimanded for her unprofessional conduct.

I don't think that Paris Hilton's lawyers were bringing up the dirt on the Mayor. They have nothing to gain from that. The Hiltons should be worrying about pleasing their patriarch, Paris's grandfather, who sold the Hilton corporation to Blackstone because his daughter's heinous act ruined the family reputation. They're going to get NADA!

I am appalled to read so many messages of disgruntled people, demanding the resignation of Villaraigosa, Why? I ask... He has been doing a great job as a the mayor of L.A. You can see his performance in the reduction of Gang Violence & Gang Proliferation in L.A. You can see the change of Down Town L.A.
Now The los Angeles Down Town area is being populated by professional artist who buy Lofts & Condos there because it is safe to even live in DownTown L.A.

All these is happening thanks to WHOM????? GOD? NO!!! In case you do not have the answer, the leader is Antonio Villaraigosa, the Mayor of L.A.

What 'Real Man' does not bite the forbidden 'Female Apple?' ONLY a Joto....

His private life should not be judged by anybody. His performance as a 'Public Servant', YESSSS!!! And in my book, Toņo has done very well....

Now, in case you (JUDGEMENTAL PEOPLE OUT THERE) do not know, every leader in the world has an extra need for sexual stimulation. They have extra hormones, that is why they stand-out!

And they deserve it!!!!

That double standard for men and women still exists. Cheating is expected of men, but if a woman does it, she is branded a whore or worse. I think anyone in the public eye needs to do some long and hard thinking before they compromise their position. Why wouldn't it be easier in the long run to get the divorce first? In my opinion it is very poor judgement, so what other business has poor judgement been used while he's been mayor? And why oh why do people think they are going to get away with their affairs and it not be found out????

How could an immoral man lead one of the greatest cities in the United States? This is beyond ridiculous. Who voted for this slimeball?
