PAWNEE CITY, Neb. - Comedian Dan Whitney is laughing all the way to the bank. A local Nebraska microbrewery has launched a beer named after the most famous one liner uttered by his alter-ego: Larry the Cable Guy.
Git-R-Done beer was launched Saturday by SchillingBridge Winery & MicroBrewery, from the small town where the 44-year-old comic was born and raised.
Yahoo news ran the press release announcing the move, and quoted Mike Schilling, who runs the winery with his wife, Sharon, who says he is confident Git-R-Done beer will appeal to Larry's fans.
"Rednecks love quality, too," he said to Yahoo News.
Larry the Cable Guy was recently seen in "Delta Farce."
Sharon Schilling said Whitney visited their winery in July 2005 to accept the offer wearing his stock get up, a sleeveless camouflage shirt.
"He said, `Let's git-r-done,'" she said. "He made it sound so simple."
