Presto gone-o fans take note: Criss Angel, the new darling of the disappearing whatever it is may want to make himself go away in a box somewhere. He is set to be keel-hauled in court by his pissed-off ex wife, Joanne Sarantakos.
The "secret" Long Island wife of Angel yesterday accused him of having an affair with Cameron Diaz, claiming their marriage went "poof" when the magician/illusionist/wanna be rock star did the business with Diaz, according to the New York Post.
Celebrity lawyer Dominic Barbara is said to be repping Sarantakos, and tells the Post he will subpoena Diaz "and have her testify about their romance in state Supreme Court in Mineola, to support the spurned spouse's divorce suit on the grounds of mental cruelty and abandonment."
Angel changed his last name from Sarantakos and headed west after his smallscreen series "Mindfreak" took off.
The Post reports that according to Barbara, he kept his wife of five years "secret" to raise his sex appeal stock with the ladies and certain gents out there in TVland.
The Post reports they were married for 15 years. No word of any pre-nup.
"We're naming Cameron Diaz as his lover," Barbara told the court. "We will subpoena her as soon as she comes back to New York."
How did he get the goods on Angel?
"Angel was tailed by a private investigator for six months," claims the Post.
Elliot Weiner, the attorney who reps Angel, "did not deny the adultery allegation" claims the Post.
Now the stakes are high as Barbara claims Angel was "abusive" in his marital relationship "and refused to give her a cent - despite the fact he made $7 million last year and has just signed a $200 million contract with a Vegas casino," reports the Post.
"He's not paying her support, which is tragic - considering his worth," said Barbara.
Despite promises of checks in the mail to his wife back in Long Island, nuttin' came in the post.
The Post's Page Six broke the Angel-Diaz affair almost a month ago.
Angel said Diaz was "one of the most beautiful actresses - A-list actresses - in Hollywood" at a dedication for a Houdini inspired bit in Manhattan, reports the Post.
The Post reports that the in-laws are not digging their famous son-in-law: "When his career took a jump forward, he became a different person," Angel's father-in-law, Richard Winkhart, said outside court. "He's in love with himself. He's a narcissist."

I was hanging out at a bar on long Isle and Angel came to see the band that was playing. He had his crew w/him he started walking around doing tricks.
When he got to me I screamed at him to get away and I called him a queer.
Shortly thereafter He and his crew left. Feeling dejected I guess.
He can't take heckling. I am sure his wife who get HALF is going to turn the screws real good. I have seen his show. he does stuff with wires and cameras and video and trick photography. His magic tricks are average at best.
It's true..he is just something for the ladies. But someone should tell him it's no longer the eighties.
I think Criss Angel is okay. He's a guy making a name for himself, and following through to his dreams, which really inspires me. I'm not a 'loyal' or whatever. But I have to rule this in favour of his privacy. Actually if you were in his shoes, and you wanted to keep something private, with everyone tearing you down, the limelight's not gonna let a celeb get away from anything without looking bad.
If johnny depp did something like this however, everyone would take his side.
It's nuts.
Go criss! Keep doing your magic. It inspires alot of people.

I'm sure Chris Angel isn't the least upset about this. He's just that type of personality. Another note: Unlike the other magicians and street-trick performers Chris Angel dogs on and likes to 'debunk'...
He is very reluctant to have more than a single public stunt live. His Nascar trick was debunked immediately on forums, and by confessions of witnesses. His way of doing magic is pre-recording all of his content for his 'hit' show Mindfreak.
The so called 'random' people for his tricks are notified and selected before rehearsal and shooting... and all fill out non-disclosure agreements.
Chris Angel is just another Bam Margera hot-topic wannabe iconic figure for trendy girls to oogle over. That'd be cool if he actually did tricks live and unscripted/edited.
