Lindsay Lohan cocaine revelation
Jun 29, 2007, 11:00 GMT
Lindsay Lohan had been drinking and had cocaine in her system when she crashed her car last month.
The 'Mean Girls' star was found to be twice over the California drink-drive limit and had traces of cocaine in her bloodstream at the time of the crash in Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard on May 26, according to a toxicology report.
Police could now present the new evidence to the Los Angeles District Attorney.
The police report filed at the time of the crash noted a "usable amount" of cocaine in Lohan's Mercedes Benz and the actress was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The 20-year-old star, who is not yet old enough to legally drink in the US, fled the scene and was later taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Police officers then arrested her a few days later.
Soon after the incident, Lohan checked into rehab at Malibu's Promises Centre, where she recently opted for an extended care programme.
Lohan's lawyer Blair Berk said: "It's highly inappropriate for me to discuss a pending case. It is extremely unprofessional for law enforcement to do it."

It is really disgusting that she had all the money and opportunities in her young life, and she blew it big time. I don't want to hear anyone saying 'but she was just young, all young people do stupid things' - statements made several times. Well, I've got news for them, there are a lot of very mature-acting, responsible young people out there, and a lot of them don't have an easy life, but they don't act like Lindsey. She's old enough to know right from wrong, and I hope she is given an appropriate sentence for the drugs and drinking, and also that going to rehab wasn't just a copout to get out of the charges!! It seems like most of the up and coming young stars just go off the deep end, and I suppose the next one will be Hillary Duff!
what lindsay lohan and her aqiuntences do is totally upto them. We all of minds of our own and can think for ourselves, no one should base decisions and dreams on what hollywood stars do. Everyone has their own problems and everyone needs to make mistakes to improve. Therfore i say what happens to Lindsay Lohan is her own business because the same situation is occuring in many states and places around us, they're just not made into a big public eye gossip fest like these hollywood incidents.

We (my family) are very disappointed in Lindsay Lohan, here we thought she was a beautiful, talented star. She could have been a good role model, but she blew it. Alcohol & drugs are not the answer and I really doubt that this young lady will ever be able to restore her former reputation after a stunt like this. It will take an awful lot to prove otherwise.
My daughters even liked her and were getting ready to do some auditions for commercials and shows. We have decided to pull back not pursue this at all anymore as it seems that the pressures of Hollywood Stardom are too rough and there is way too much of this stuff going on particularly with the young people (i.e. Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan). I don't want to see my girls grow up like them, even though I would do all I can to prevent that. Still a very big concern.
