George Clooney has allegedly had liposuction.
The 46-year-old actor sparked surgery rumours after being photographed with a large scar across his stomach, while holidaying on a yacht in Italy.
The 'Ocean's Thirteen' star, who previously joked about undergoing cosmetic surgery on his eyes, was sporting the mysterious long line just above his belly button.
However, medical consultant John Getty, from Sheffield's Northern General Hospital, believes the scar could be linked to George's previous back and neck operations.
The actor has a scar running from the base of his spine to his neck following an accident on the set of political thriller 'Syriana' in 2004.
Getty said: "There's a lot of spinal surgery that's done from the front. It's a bit higher than I'd expect for a spine scar but it is possible."
It has been suggested the mark could simply be puckering of the skin.
George's publicist Stan Rosenfield insisted his client has not had liposuction, saying the mark could be due to the actor's recent weight fluctuation.
Rosenfield said: "It's probably just from putting on the weight he lost from filming during his last movie."
