Paris Hilton's welcome party
Jun 27, 2007, 11:00 GMT

Paris Hilton (L) is hugged by her mother Kathy Hilton (C) as her father Rick (R) looks on as she leaves the Lynnwood jailhouse after serving 23 days of a 45-day sentence for violation probation for previous alcohol related charge in Los Angeles, California, 26 June 2007. EPA/ANDREW GOMBERT
Paris Hilton's family held a welcome home party for her yesterday (26.06.07).
Her parent's Bel-Air mansion saw family and friends celebrating with the heiress after her release from California county jail.
Paris' aunt Kyle Richards said: "She's very happy to be home - very, very happy. She's going to relax and spend family time.
"I think she's just excited to be at home and be with her family."
Pink balloons, pink hydrangeas, pink roses, yellow lilies and a white frosted cake decorated with the words 'Welcome Home' were delivered to the home.
The president of Taco Bell - one of the 26-year-old favourite fast food restaurants - Greg Creed sent Paris a letter informing her of a special delivery.
Unfortunately the four bags of food were stopped by security and instead made their way into the mouths of the media and police officers outside the front gates.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca was called to court yesterday (26.06.07) to justify his decision to originally transfer her to home arrest on June 7.
Sheriff Baca said: "Our doctors said we had no solution to Hilton's medical problems. None.
"As a sheriff in this county, I'm not going to let any inmate die in this jail.
"What's worth more - a person spending time in a county jail for driving on a suspended license or a person losing her life?
"She was at a place where we couldn't fix whatever that medical problem was with the resources we have. We knew this problem was not going to get better.
"We were placed in a very unusual and awkward position with Ms. Hilton."
Paris' mystery illness has still not been revealed.
The day after she was first released the Los Angeles Superior Court judge, who had sentenced her, called her to court and ordered her to return to jail where she spent a further 18 days.

baca is so full of shit. If a poor inmate were in the same 'medical condition', do they get a free get out of jail card? Hell no. He was bending to the Hilton bank account, nothing more.
Paris, glad you did your time. Now grow up.
Why do people keep saying she was sent to jail for driving on a supended license?
She went to jail because she was convicted of drunk driving and violated the terms of her probation.
In her defense though, I was stopped without my insurance card in Californian and cited. I went to court with my paperwork to prove that I was covered at the time, and the case was dismissed. A year later when I went to renew my license they said it was suspended.
I NEVER received any notification from the State of California that they had suspended my license.
The point is that it is possible that Paris was unaware that she was driving on a suspended license. The FIRST time.
We should all rise up and defend Paris. She is like, the princess of style. All those haters out there just cant appreciate a classy lady like Paris. I for one, look up to her and I know that there are many like me who strive daily to be more like her. Im sure Paris would agree with me when I say Kisses, Hugs, and Tiffany & Co. for everyone!!
Undoubtedly one of the funniest things I've read all day:
'Sheriff Baca said: 'Our doctors said we had no solution to Hilton's medical problems. None.'

Specificity....that's what we need, not more generalizations about her mystery medical problems...although I do understand that there is no 'solution' to herpes.
Did you see this at wordpress on Paris?
Paris Hilton Prison Genes
Can genetics be a factor in the likelihood of doing jail time?
I ran an abbreviated (only ten generations) Family Forest® kinship report of Paris Hilton and noticed several people in the report who also found themselves in a similar situation to the one Paris is in today.
I heard that someone hit Paris with a pie. Is there any video of Paris with pie on her face? That would be pretty funny (and well-deserved!).
You look up to a likely infected nasty skank--spreading or germs and her legs what a great thing to look up too--maybe when you grow up you can be a hoe too!!--
That was not nice, nor classy. Paris and I will forgive you for your hateful comments. I think you would change your mind and not say such nasty things if you got to, like, meet her and go shopping. Maybe a pink handbag or some stylish heels. Look, young people such as myself look up to her because of her grand fashion sense and stylish ways. The world needs less war and more outfits that match. Paris can help guide us to a better dressed world, and who can argue with that??
You tell em girl! Whoever said that is mean and nasty. Paris is an icon for many people throughout the world. Before you give people a hard tiem for standing up for Paris, think WWJD? What Would Justin Timberlake Do?
There are way too many little school girls on this site who probably should be on the playground, and you know who you are! Paris is a disgrace for someone 26 years old, but not for someone your age - about 13. It's too bad her familly hasn't had her tested for low mentality and gotten her help!
Paris reports that the first days of her confinement she was in the fetal position in hysterics. If that isn't a good sign of an immature, disturbed, unstable person, I don't know what is! It sounds like she should never have left the 'nest'. She couldn't begin to understand what real suffering is. If she continues on her current path, she may find out!
Kasi,
You sound like someone who needs a massage and a nice facial scrub. Take the day off, go to your local spa, and like, relax. Then go to Tiffany's & Co. and treat yourself. It sounds like there's too much anger in your soul. This is what Paris would do...People like Paris are like, totally just the future of tomorrow, you'll have to deal with this. Toodles!
Definitely. On top of all things, these haters have probably not heard, but today is now been called 'Celebrate Paris' Freedom Day!! Everyone should totally go out tonight and share a bottle of Krystall!!
You last two posters are, like, real comedians!! Paris would be so proud!
Jak, I'm sure I could teach you a few things with the body and fashion sense that I have. Would you be willing to learn from someone who has learned the ropes from our princess Paris?
'future of tomorrow' - isn't that one and the same, Paris wannabe? If she is the future, we'd all end up with our thumbs in our mouths saying 'like' in every sentence, crawling into bed with whoever is available, and posing until our backs give out!
I'm not interested in immature children!
You are the unCola.
ultimate sacrifice for the people. I will volunteer to be Paris' athletic supporter. I WILL support her in athletics......amen and amen...
What on earth are some of you smoking??
Its called cannibis. I have to say, its hilarious how many people you can screw with, getting to beleive in Brandi's and my existence. I wonder if a guy could act like a couple of 19 year old girls just for the purpose of punking people for a great laugh. I have to say, people in my office have been laughing their asses off for the last two days watching me get people all riled up over Paris.
If you think others don't use this forum for their amusement and take you seriously, you are a deh deh deh.
As Paris would say...'Whatever!!!'
All right, I'll be serious now. Paris, like many other famous people who get themselves in trouble, do have the opprotunity to right the ship, so to speak. I mean come on, if I have 20 million plus to play with ( Im refering to famous people like athletes, actors, etc ) I am not putting myself in a position to jeapardize it. People like Pacman, cant let go of their roots, keeping it real. Hey, for 20 million or whatever. I dont need to go down with my homies, stay true to my hood. Paris is similar, with all that money, she doesnt need to stay in a troublesome situation ( ie; living up the club scene ) every night. She could do much more, but lets be realistic. How long is her probationary period? I'll bet a lot saying we'll see Paris in this situation again. Much like Pacman, and other NFL and NBA troublemakers.
