Paris Hilton had planned to go on a girlie holiday before she was sent to jail.

'The Simple Life', who is currently serving 45 days in a California prison for driving with a suspended licence, had hoped to be on a yacht in Saint-Tropez.

Paris told Harper's Bazaar magazine just before finishing filming the latest series of her reality show last month: "When I'm done filming I'm going to get a boat in Saint-Tropez.

"I've always gone with a boyfriend, but this time I want to take Nicole and some girls with me. You don't need boys all the time."

Nicole Richie is also facing prison this summer if she is found guilty of DUI (driving under the influence) as she has a previous driving conviction.

Paris revealed the pair have always been partners in crime.

She said: "We were just like sisters from the moment we met.

"Once, when we were 12 or 13 and we were in Las Vegas we went out with friends from high school.

"We were walking around and we couldn't get a cab, so we saw some cops and asked them for a ride home.

"They asked how old we were and we lied and said we were 18.

"My parents got a call saying, 'Paris and Nicole are out on the streets.' "
