Paris Hilton has been invited to pose for Playboy, but her mother won't agree.
Playboy millionaire Hugh Hefner, who would love the hotel heiress to pose for the magazine when she is released from jail, feels Kathy's disapproval will prevent her.
Hefner told Access Hollywood: "Well, that's a standing offer. I think the problem quite frankly is mama. Mama doesn't want her to pose."
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old has been spending her time behind bars reading fan mail.
'The Simple Life' star has even been replying to the letters that touch her most.
In a handwritten note obtained by E! Online, Paris wrote: "I read your letter and just wanted to thank you for your kind words of love and support. The fact that you took time out of your day to write me truly means the world. Especially at such a difficult and scary time in my life.
"But I am being strong and trying to make the best out of the situation.
"And the letters I'm receiving really do put a smile on my face as I sit here in my cell, sad and alone. Again, thank you so much and may God bless you and your family.
"Love always, Paris Hilton."
She signed the letter by dotting her i's with hearts and adding "xoxo".
Jail is said to be doing wonders for Paris' complexion.
Actress Julie Araskog - who visited the socialite at the Lynwood jail on Saturday (16.06.07) along with her sister Nicky Hilton - was amazed by how good Paris looked.
Araskog told People magazine: "She looked so beautiful.
"It felt surreal, like a movie. No make-up - she is naturally beautiful. I was stunned.
"She was as beautiful as she is with make-up."

I'm surprised, it wouldn't seem that her mother has given her advice about all her partying and changing bed partners whenever the wind blows!
It would have done Paris a LOT more good if they had jailed her mother instead of her. They should have charged her with negligent parenting...in the first degree!
Paris is a mess, and it's definitely Mommy's fault. (and Daddy's for that matter) Instead of backing the court, and reinforcing the message that she needs to take responsibility for her own actions/inactions, they instead are busying themselves planning her 'get-out-of-jail' party.
These people are the true embarassment to the U.S. in the world's eyes. They are caricatures of every negative stereotype of the infamous 'American Capitalist Pig.' (Lionel Ritchie, take note!)
The Muslim radicals use her as the poster child for western society's depravity...and rightly so.
She's not eating because she's afraid of having her picture taken while on the toilet?!!!!! I guess she didn't have such concerns about her modesty when she was making her now ubiquitous sex videos that populate the entire internet...
She is not a slut by nature, but rather, by upbringing...Because her grand-daddy's money spoiled her mother first long before it spoiled her.
If she'd gotten sent away for 6 months, instead of 3 weeks, it would have given her a much better chance of getting her head together, but only if they'd prohibited her parents from visiting her. I think the parents intentionally 'feed her habit', because as long as she stays in the headlines, it will keep the media from noticing just what a train wreck of a family she's come from.
