Jennifer Hudson has been invited to join the Oscar Academy.
The star, who went from 'American Idol' finalist to Oscar-winning actress in less than three years, joined a host of stars to be honoured this year.
Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Aniston and Daniel Craig have also been invited to join the body which chooses Oscar nominees and winners.
The stars are among 115 people from the film industry who have been given the chance to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
